Next time, pretty kitty! I am not the biggest fan of the pebbles, I have a sandy fox and a special quest wolf whom I love, (and I must have that fat lil tanuki when they hit the store!) but they usually don’t do it for me. I am loving the cougar though! The pose is very liquid for being a “pebble” animal. The face is graceful and aloof, just like a cat!

that cougar sculpt is lovely, so I am down for whatever they get painted as.

But with all these little baby kirins running about now, any chance of doing some production color parents? The shenanigans these little guys can get into… they need some parental supervision and my PYO kirin is just not cutting it, she is more like a teenager.

I was out for the Memorial Holiday and got back today, and my Wolfie was waiting for me!
He’s a Greyish brindle in the front that goes to a nice brownish toffee colored brindle in back, with nice tigery striping and a darker face – no white at all. And he’s Odd-Eyed! Yea! 🙂 He’s got one gold eye and one blue.

I’ve taken some photos but been so busy at work and home that I’ve gotten behind on posting. Hopefully I’ll be able to post them tomorrow. Yeah, I’m happy! I got a nice GB this time. 🙂

Here’s MY Brindle Wolfie! Couldn’t be happier! 🙂

LOVE the Odd-Eyes! Gold and Blue! 🙂

Very nice! I ADORE The eyes. Any other odd-eyed wolves surface yet?

These are lovely! Thank you all for posting your photos, they are so much fun to see. Has anyone seen a mismatched eyed wolf per chance? Has that popped up in any of the wolf grab bags ever? Just curious…

Very nice color… and accurate as it captures the true nature of soooo many kitties!

Other underworld(ish) names for the color scheme if Hades is a no go: Asphodel, Hel, Annwn, Tartarus!

here is a huge list of them too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underworld

We should all meet up in the skies over Pern. What color dragon will you be riding?

Brown here, good fighting size and stamina, less responsibility!

Very impressive. How do you stay cool in one of those? Not just comfortable cool, but keep from passing out in the crowded, sweaty dealer hall cool? I wear too many layers and a wig for cosplay and suffer enough that way. I couldn’t imagine a full fur suit! Is there a trick to it like super breathable fur fabric? Or do you just suffer through it for the sake of art?

in reply to: Earthquakes & Windstones #929680

I am in so-called earthquake country I guess, Northern CA Bay Area, but I don’t feel most of them. I felt the Napa quake, what last year?, but all my heavy or/and tall furniture is already anchored; that’s just how we roll here. Anchoring is easy, just buy a kit or two and find a stud.

The kind of quake it would take to really strike down your Windstones would probably be pretty massive, you’d probably have other major concerns to occupy your mind. One thing I did change with quakes in mind were the doors of cabinets. I have one that locks with a magnet, fine, but the other two could swing open. The cabinet I fastened with a decorative braid around the doors that had to be untied to open and the barrister I put magnets strips to hold the doors down unless pulled really well. I was concerned with the Napa quake for pieces with small bases or more top-heavy pieces, like the unicorn colt, the male unicorn and pegasus, and young dragon. They have buddies closer to their bases, so again, it would have to be massive and insanely unlucky to move them.

Many of you may have the same condition, to varying degrees of severity. The symptoms include – smiling (a lot), feelings of happiness, and general well-being. Side effects include less shelf space in the home for other items and the development of an unnatural familiarity with the postal delivery people in your neighbourhood. The condition is benign and can continue for decades unchecked. 😉

LMAO yes, and even though it’s a benign condition we do have this awesome support group here for sharing and to talk about how we cope in our everyday lives. For me, sometimes it just means books have to sit on the floor and Windstones get the shelves, heh.

These guys have already been posted in other threads, but thanks to some awesome people doing some awesome trades with me, they are now part of my Windstone family. And I have to share because I am one proud papa to have these two kirins.

The most colorful, lovely little guy, Raiko, getting checked out by my other colorful GBs.

And little Himeko meeting her new family!
