I love the look of the elegant trogon
I think this bird, similar to the Quetzal, has a body shape and beautiful colors that would lend itself well to a Phoenix.Lovely colors, absolutely beautiful!
I’m sorry to hear about your loss Melody. Condolences to you and your family.
Thank you 🙂 Now I just have to think of something that he can hold in his claw… hmm
He’s finally done 🙂
Thanks for your help everyone. I have heard of the gargolingus but I have never seen them. It’s cool to see something new… so much to learn about Windstones. 🙂
I just saw this auction for a hatching dragon figure that says it’s a Windstone. It has the felt bottom and is signed 94 Pena, I just have never seen this sculpt before. http://cgi.ebay.com/WINDSTONE-EDITIONS-DRAGON-HATCHING-EGG-SIGND-PENA-1994-/310240036872?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0
Anyone know the story behind this guy? Thanks.
~HeatherUpdated- almost done image 🙂
I’m loving the slender and graceful dragon cat. I can imagine him in a cartoon roaming around creating havoc for the townspeople as he searches for his favorite ball of yarn. Awesome work!
I just adore those oriental dragons. The blue eyes are so soulful.
Updated with new pics 🙂
Updated with the first layer of paint 🙂
My keeper dragon is finally done. I had a lot of fun using Golden brand interference paints as well as metallic paint on him. I painted him using a combination of airbrushing and regular brushing. Next I’d like to one day try painting a PYO unicorn.
I love the various colors on the wings of the glossy ibis and the white-faced ibis. I think this color scheme could transfer over to a griffin.

~HeatherI definitely want to try painting larger statues and fantasy creatures. There is one of those paint your own ceramics stores not far from me. They say they have over 3,000 statues to choose from. I’m going to check them out and see what they offer.
