As we all know, things are bad all over with this economy. I work for a contractor so I really see the down end of it all. They have cut us a day a week without pay. Yeah it hurts, but I still have a job and I use that day to do errands, make vet and doctor’s appointment, shopping etc so I have the weekends to myself. Well, I had yesterday off and today our shop is closed for the 4th. I did all my shopping and running around yesterday just so I could sit back for the rest of this long weekend, relax and get some things done.
Well my coworker calls me early this morning–quite upset because she was hoping on a big payment from one of our customers and it isn’t going to happen. It isn’t due until next month, so I knew that would happen. She is all upset because she is going on vacation at the end of the month and is afraid that if the shop can’t make payroll, which is a possibility, she’ll have to cancel her plans. Notice the big deal here is that she has to cancel her vacation. I’m not trying to minimize her anxiety but she isn’t going to lose her home, car or has extensive medical bills she has to pay. She is calling me up wondering what ‘we’ were doing to do because this is scary! Got news for her, it’s been scary all this year. I know exactly what my boss is doing to do, the blockhead, he’ll just borrow more money from the bank.
I was looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend and here she is stirring me up because she may have to cancel her vacation. [sigh] Just me ranting a little again and trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If worse comes to worse I’ll have to keep hands off on the credit cards but I don’t feel it is the end of the world–not yet anyway.
So—-is anyone enjoying their weekend–let me know, I really, really, really, really need to hear some good news for a change!
This year just totally sucks! A lot of people that I know are having a rough time with one thing or another. Don’t know when it will all end or what the outcome will be. But I too would definitely like all the bad things to stop!

There is a product called ‘Depends’ that can be used when we er um, lose control of ourselves?! 😆 It is very common with the middle age to elder set but I can see here that some in the much younger set can use it! I’m gonna buy stock in Depends LOL! 😈 😆 XD I’m not even going to mention what I would do if the store was stocked with all those goodies–let’s just say fertilizer anyone? 😈
