Don’t know and one never knows now does one?! It almost becaomes a thing of being at the right place at the right time. Sometimes I’m on and check the store and there is an item all of us were waiting for. Sometimes I’m on here and check and find a new item that has already sold out. It’ll be a mad, mad rush when they do come out. 😈
My baby peacock was waiting for me when I got back from vacation! I <3 him! Thank you so much Syn789!
So glad you got your peacock oriental young. I felt so bad because I have both the peacock and jade and a couple people were looking for these, but I wanted to enjoy them for a while. I especially love the peacock because there are more colors on it–may just keep him! There is some purple with a bit of green on the peacocks–the others are pretty much the same color except for the brows and tail. So congradulations! 😀
Personally, if there is a certain piece that I like–a fledgling , lap, then I want them in all colors. I bought a Black Gold Male, Coiled and Fledgling from a store going out of business and quite frankly, I like the way they are displayed together. It sort of grows on you. I like deep rich colors and the black with the other colors to me is quite striking. But you also may want to mix them up a bit–get a piece in the red fire–you may be surprised as how well the contrast looks! 🙂
Yes, congradulations is in order. Which location of Longs (I think it is now CVS) will you be at?

Yeah, I know–real bad habit of mine. Finances aren’t that bad so the damage I did was minor. It isn’t like there isn’t food in the house and I or my pets need serious medical attention. Believe me, I’ll survive! I’ll enjoy the pretties while I can and if I get into a real bad rut–then I know I have to stop buying! 🙂
PMed you right back! 😀
Whoever gets me will have it easy–just specified that they could paint whatever they had on hand. That way if a newbie gets me they won’t feel stressed–I’m a newbie myself. I’m fairly easy to please–would love in the future to paint a dragon or a keeper–but it looks like that day will have to wait for a while.
There are so many things I’d like to get and figured that’s what credit cards are for! Great for the morale but hard on the pocket book! 🙄 I was going to pass and thought hey, Melody is making this a Limited Production so why not snag one. There’s about 3 left when I last checked so they’ll be gone by the days end. I get into this ‘throw all caution to the wind’ moods–makes me mad because I get myself in a rut, but I truly enjoy all the pretties I’ve bought. I get down and I buy and buy and buy! Talk about addiction! 😈
I’m with Starbreeze, vent all you want here. From what I understand, that’s what we’re here for. You have a very serious reason to vent–your life is involved. It it makes you feel better, go ahead–we’re all eyes and ears! 🙂
You’re doing a book on your Poads? I probably missed that but if so, when you do expect to have it out?
I’m already in the swap so would have a hard time painting for that and this one at the same time. Besides, I’m another newbie and a slow painter simply because I don’t know what I’m doing!
I got one, probably shouldn’t have but I did. Saw the announcement when Susie first put it up but didn’t jump on it right away. I’m off today and took a little nap and when I saw they were still in the store, I thought, you only live once honey–get one! 😀
A vacation?!!! :nea:  Word doesn’t seem to be in my vocabulary. In fact, can’t remember the last time I took a vacation meaning I went away. Where I work I do have 10 vacation days meaning they’ll pay me to take those days off but then they have cut us a day each week to help offset overhead. Hard times and they’re trying to make ends meet so that’s understandable–at least I still have a job. So I have all these days off but no money to really go somewhere. Also kills me that I work for a small shop and taking all those days off at one time would put them in a quandry–that’s what I get for being so ****ing reliable and efficent. Have no big payments to make except to my credit card company–seems I have a bad Windstone addiction, very bad. 😳
Would like to take early retirement in a few years but money might be a problem. The only way I might be able to swing it is to sell my California home and with the proceeds of that and my small pension–most likely that of my late husband’s–blow California and move to Oregon and find some nice little place but large enough to accommodate my Windstones and pets. I’ll be able to live fine but won’t have much money for Windstones. Hmmmmmmmm…maybe I’ll just show up at the Windstones factory with a sign around my neck that reads: WILL WORK FOR WINDSTONES. 😀
Oh, vacation, mind gets to wandering nowadays–can’t keep a single thought in my head–so much to do. Nope, don’t think I’ll be taking a vacation this year! 😮 🙁 😈
This looks interesting…I’ll pass it off as ‘health food’. It has cucumbers, carrots, raisins–like I call Zuccini Bread and Carrot Cake health food–no calories ever! *Saying this as I pat my amble belly and thighs*
Oh yes, yes, yes, Bengal Puffin Cats–the one on eBay is so adorable!! Ooooo Oooooo! Do I dare get it—*chews knuckles* can I afford it right now *inner self says no but foolish heart says go for it, you’re still employed*! Don’t know, can’t decide–love cute things and Windstones makes the best! 😀
