I just need time to work on him.  I glued the big pieces back together, but I’m not going to tackle the repairs requiring sculpting until I have time to do it right.  I’m in the middle of a couple of home repairs/updates right now.

He will be fixed good as new – scales are fairly easy to match.  I’m just glad the head break was clean.

I’m fairly handy with apoxie sculpt – and I originally painted him, so matching paint shouldn’t be a problem.  I just put so much work in him – if you look closely at the pictures, I drilled and set dozens of rhinestones between his scales.  I also made his hanging medallion – for his namesake, Orion the constellation.  I’m incredibly proud of this PYO.  I will make sure he is good as new.

I’m not going to be able to participate this time. I had some family things come up unexpectedly. I hope to do it next time!

I think she’s beautiful, I’m just not much into cats. I may see if there’s someone on the forums here who would love her more than I do, because I think she’s an excellent piece. I knew what I was getting into when I jumped in, and I’m not disappointed!

This was not painted for me, I jumped in at the last minute because someone else couldn’t participate due to unforeseen circumstances. It is a pretty little flap cat painted by natashavonlemke, inspired by a blood orange. It’s name is Sanguinella.

I already had the amazing Susie send me a new set of eyes for color reasons, I just couldn’t ask for another set! I had to find them!

These are all reasons I switched to brush-on clear coat. I live in Oklahoma, and you can’t depend on the weather for anything. Even a nice day, the wind blows dust into the clear coat. I almost cried after a couple of things were ruined, so I opt for control now. I know a lot of people have very good results with sprays, I just don’t.
