I haven’t posted in an age, just been silently lurking hoping for the couple of pieces I don’t have showing up in a color I could run with.

Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, pleaseeeeeeeeeee do a run of black rust on the griffins. Snow leopard frost was the first griffin I bought because the painting detail extended through the body. I have a sitting griffin like what was auctioned already, but I would to have one that’s laying down.

Back to lurking for me.

Sitting in my chair and hearing my kids laughing (both real young). Turn around and they were playing monster fight with my dragons slamming them together… That was the moment I said I guess I’m not going to be collecting these. Then my sister bought me one and I found the damaged ones on ebay for reasonable prices and got back in it. I also had an incredibly durable case built to house them.

Hi Rorii, I had this problem and probably looked at every cabinet on the market. Glass shelves couldn’t support the weight and wooden cabinets were dark.

My solution was to draw a cabinet and have it built by sawdustcity.com. I added the lights and reduced iron glass doors after. I can send the plans over for reference.

I’m just happy to see some other colors again. I love these dragons, but the light green wasn’t doing it for me.

Those colors on that Poad are beautiful (big fan of blue and green). Also, I never realized those things were so big.

Trying again, so I just got my Phoenix (Tropical Sunburst) from Drag0nfeathers and I’m stoked. Figured I’d do a repost of the cabinet (which I can supply drawings for and a company that will build it for anyone interested) and a close up of this awesome bird.

I’m no artist and I’ve not given too much thought to the idea but I am a big fan of ambient lighting. I lined my whole office with dropped crown molding and put leds in them that slowly shift from red to green to blue. I’ve noticed that some of the paint on the dragons reacts under certain light and thought it might be cool if those effects could be intentionally harnessed. Maybe hide runes or scale accents on them.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you might take a look at some of the pieces you already have under different lighting.

Setsunawolf, I’m probably missing the point of what your showing off but I couldn’t help but notice the artwork in the mirror.  Any particular artist that does quality Dragon Art?

 

Also, I know Melody can draw too.  Has Melody ever thought of putting out some sketches?
