I now use Aleene’s tacky glue. It’s a white craft glue though it’s comes in multiple variations.I often use the clear gel variation on Windstones as it dries totally clear and doesn’t leave a cloudiness if it gets on the visible part of the eye or gem. It can be purchased at Michael’s or pretty much anywhere that sells basic craft supplies like Walmart.
I started using Aleene’s tacky glue instead of regular white glue for things after I successfully fixed my Mom’s resin candle holder with it. We had tried just about everything on it(super glue, china weld, white glue, modeling glue, but the most effective was double sided carpet tape) and were lucky if the wing held for a couple months. It’s been a few years and the wing tip is still on there so I’ve decided I like it better than regular white glue.
Windstone is really good about fixing mistakes without hassle all you have to do is contact them. Though this lass might be more valuable than her peers as there are those who will pay extra to get pieces that are different than they are supposed to be.
Took me just a second to find it, in the Welcome forums.

Often times the welcome forums will have answers to FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) and so they’re always worth a look. Hope this helps you both.
That link is actually for the old site. The new page is in general Windstones. Here’s the link to it:
New GuideIf you want to add color to the surface without messing up the antiquing you could try dry brushing. It only leaves paint on the surface and doesn’t go into the cracks(unless you have too much paint on the brush).
The rainbow color is retired for most sculpts. The ones in the postponed section are the ones that haven’t been retired yet so there is still a chance of more of those ones. They’ve also mentioned the possibility of painting new the sculpts in the old color schemes. *Crosses fingers for more rainbow colored dragons*
Finally sent mine in!
Love it!
I know 🙁 I am just loving these dragons toooo much I guess. I got the one you sent me though and I am very excited to see it hatch. I think I need to be careful though. It is getting a ton of views and I don’t really know what a safe amount is for it so I will keep a watchful mommy eye on it 🙂
Your babies are doing fine. After the first 6-12h they usually won’t get sick. I’ve never had one of my dragons die from too many views even when they have gotten sick and I usually put them in a daycare and ignore them.
Check your pm’s. I sent you a couple eggs.
I’m in.
For value I’m not sure what a peacock colored emperor is worth. I can tell you I payed $240 for a black gold one with a chipped horn and new emperors from the online store go for $344. So I’d guess yours is probably worth in the $200-$300 range depending on condition and demand. Congrats on your great find and welcome to Windstones.
Here’s a new thread for all your Dragon Cave needs and wants.
Hey, my name’s Riverspell. I’ve introduced myself on here but failed to be much active since I joined say a week, maybe two? ago. Thought I might share my artwork, as it’s such a large part of me.

That’s my deviantart and now I’ll post a couple of my better images. Hope this doesn’t bother those of you with slow connections!

There’s tons more in my gallery. The old stuff folder has works from two or three years ago. Some almost 4. So they’re not terribly up to date.
Let me know what you think!
Here’s the images for you
That’s what I think too. He’s just missing antique. Great work so far.
Oops! Looks like I’ve been doing my links wrong. I checked to make sure they turned purple but didn’t actually click them. Here’s the links again(the correct way):

Recipe List~I noticed that the links I had in the first post were also wrong so I fixed them too.~
Here’s a cheat sheet for the cooking if you want it.
