That’s what happened last year when I wanted to paint my mom a unicorn – I gave up on PYO unicorns halfway through the summer, ordered her a ring instead and lo and behold – PYO unicorns come out. XD

I’m starting to encounter the ghost clutch! Yesterday I had to drive my dad’s automatic van and I kept looking for the clutch with my left foot – it felt WRONG not using it. Haven’t had issues with the shifter yet between vehicles but I’m sure that’ll come soon too. Also my dad’s van felt so sluggish and unresponsive compared to my car, I can’t believe the difference. My car is so incredibly zippy in comparison and I’m finally starting to adjust to its better turning radius. I really didn’t like driving my dad’s van. I have to drive it again next Monday because my parents are making me (I’m going to a shindig) and I just feel safer in my own vehicle. Hopefully it’s the last time I have to drive the van, at least for a while! My car is so much better!!

Summer 2016! I’m going to do some practice 1-3 hour trips in the mean time until then, but I’m definitely going to Alberta next year. I gotta see my remaining grandma and grandpa at least one more time while they’re still around. My Texan buddy and I have decided to do an awesome Pacific Northwest roadtrip in 2017 – I’m going to pick her up at SEATAC and then we’re going to cruise around. 😀 (At least, that’s the plan so far! I’ve told her that she can be my DJ and navigator haha. She says she can do driving but I’m preeeetty sure her mom’s car is automatic so I dunno about that. XD I told her that my passenger seat is REALLY comfy haha!)

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it, it’s been a crazy rough week (the same day I wrote this one of my teeth decided to SHATTER while I was eating well cooked spaghetti of all things and I don’t have health insurance so that was a little expensive, then my mom had to go in for a medical procedure – but everything with that turned out for the best – I haven’t mentioned it anywhere out of respect for her because she doesn’t like people talking about it but she is having some health issues but her procedure went okay) and your guys’ words help make it a little better. My facebook is a lot quieter now and feels much better; the only people left there are people who care and the kid who made the snotty comment is really trying to be nice (and spell better even! He really listened to me telling him that instant messaging jargon is not okay.) He’s doing a good job and I appreciate that he’s trying. There still might be a couple of people to defriend in the future but none of them have really attacked me and they’re easy-ish to ignore most of the time. During the election one tried to argue with me and I flat out told her that I didn’t want to argue with her because I care about her and she didn’t press it, so that’s good, I think we’re probably cool.
It’s crazy! 🙁 I’d heard about how you don’t have to like family before (some of my cousins had a not-so-great father whom they are estranged from and they told me that someone sharing DNA does not mean you have to respect them) and I even have a character who lives from that perspective (if you watch my art stuff, he’s Ki – he lives most of his life believing himself orphaned and has no use for any blood family) but I have never personally encountered it until now. I’m still kind of feeling weird about the fact that it’s okay to dislike Angry Cousin and avoid him but I think I’ll get over it. I’m afraid to meet him in real life but my dad pointed out that Angry Cousin is actually pretty vile. (My dad was looking at his FB page and it’s just FULL of negativity and nastiness. I don’t need that.) And now that I think about it it’s true that friends can feel more like family than blood family. After I left my buddy in Texas and lost sight of her I was actually depressed for ages. I probably cried my eyes out for like half an hour following losing sight of her at AUS airport. We’ve now made plans to go on a Pacific Northwest roadtrip in 2017 and there’s also other friends that feel closer to me than blood family too. I mean, I feel closer to you guys than a lot of the people who are related to me, because you guys talk to me much more often. I’m really grateful for the internet, because thanks to it, you can have friends worldwide.
Today I drove my car for the first time without stalling even once and I can definitely say that while I’m still learning and still likely to stall, driving standard is getting MUCH easier. (I can now think about things other than the clutch constantly while doing it!) Yesterday and this morning I had to drive my dad’s van again which I learned most of automatic and my basic driving on and it was AWFUL. So stiff, so slow to react – my little car has a LOT more pep and is a LOT more fun! I think the conversion from automatic driver to standard is almost complete! 🙂
But anyway just thank you for your words everyone, they’ve really helped my weird stressful week be a teensy bit better. 🙂

Thanks guys! 😀 It’s a five speed, seems pretty simple though I’m sure I’ll mess up a few times before I get it. My dad was showing me on the test drive and it really doesn’t seem difficult at all. 😀 Apparently when my one brother heard last night he said “She’s not going to learn to drive stick!” WELL, that’s just a cry of WAR! It’s going to be painful waiting until Sunday to learn. I really can’t wait to get in the driver’s seat! 😀
