I had a lot of success with zebra and leopard danios back when I kept fish (this thread is making me so nostalgic!) – beautiful and easy to keep. (Also Jennifer that planted tank looks incredible, bravo.) About the only advice I can add from my years working in pet supply is avoid any fish food with ethoxyquin in it – it’s bad for animals (bad for humans too.) A lot of the cheap fish food has it. Basically, try to do some good research on food too – just like with cats and dogs (and people!) processed stuff isn’t always very healthful for the fish unfortunately.
I liked keeping fish, but I vastly prefer my leopard gecko Diego – she is far easier maintenance! (However you might not want a gecko since the kids would probably want to hold her all the time and geckos, from my experience, although amiable and harmless, aren’t particularly enthused about that.)

You can do it! I believe in you, haha! I did three foops in three days for last year’s Christmas. Probably could have tackled them all in one day. Just drink lotsa vitamin C to keep your energy up and put on something good but not toooo interesting to watch in the background. 😀

No, I hadn’t touched any of it when I took pictures except to take it out for photographing. 🙁 I wanted to get pictures of everything before I touched any of it!
*facepalm* There was a round chunky flatish chocolate full of peanuts and caramel with large pecans for feet and head shaped like a turtle. Sounds like someone in customs was hungry. lol Merry Christmas to them. Mary says they must of been testing it for poison for ya to make sure all that chocolate was good right 😉
Haha must be what they were doing. By the way, I have eaten the vast majority of the chocolate now (ugh it didn’t last long enough) and I SWEAR these are THE BEST chocolates that I have ever tasted. 😀 I am going to be in mourning for a while following my last bite of them! (So triple thank yous!!!)

Pricy the Overly Expensive Unicorn is finished! Here’s a rough picture for now until I can grab some better, clearer shots with my dad’s Rebel. 😀 She’s a black and white tobiano, referenced off of photos of Gypsy Vanners. 🙂 (Because my mom loooves those and Pricy will belong to her come Christmas! 😀 Hopefully she gives her a better name.) Pricy is lightly antiqued with very light pink and brown. 🙂
I am pretty pleased with how well she came out and I’ve decided that the unicorn is one of my favourite PYO sculpts. It’s actually pretty stress free! I that hope I can paint some more unicorns soon, there’s a bazillion different ideas that I could use for it haha. 😀 (I’d especially really love to paint a buckskin or dun on it for some reason… drool!!)
Next: a kitsune! 😀 (Which will be up for sale/trade providing that I can part with it.)
I’m not sure what sort of PYO I should try to get my paws on after. I have excellent ideas for a kirin and adult foo dogs, so I guess it’ll be a manner of just what’s a better pick at the time. (Of course a rise in the Canadian dollar would help my PYO painting immensely. XD)

Eeee, thank you so much 96037! 😀 I haven’t had time to sample much yet but so far it’s all crazy delicious. (I reeeally liked the cluster thing; it only survived long enough to be photographed haha!)
