Never smoked, never did drugs – though I came of age in the late 60s/early 70s and can testify that a party really goes downhill when the pot comes out – and don’t drink much. Too busy reading (now that’s an addiction that interferes with getting things done …) 😀

I don’t know either, but I notice that Kinglet does not get the TM added as Flion and Poad do.

Me too. I don’t know why red is so tricky (it sounds like you do) but after reading about all the past problems I was wondering if a “good” red was an impossible goal.

Oh, that Old Warrior is lovely! 🙂 I would love a dragon in that color! I like dead leaf season! 🙂

Hurray for Olimpia getting the red paint to work again! Red paint is tricky. When it works, it works well, but it’s trickier than most other paints, automotive included (deep candy apple red is one of my favorite automotive colors, but it’s expensive and has to be done just right or start over/pick another color. What was the issue with the red that was causing all the fuss? Was it an application issue, environmental issue, combination of several things conspiring against red dragons?
You know … I think Melody provided that information about a month ago when she was answering the “Ruby Oriental Sun Dragon” question. At least, she talked about the problem with the original red [automotive] paint and the manufacturer changing the formula without notice.

I second the Rising Spectral ( squeek* squeek* ), but I am guessing that they would be introduced after Christmas at the earliest. I believe Melody said somewhere that they now are concentrating on producing stock of existing pieces to sell over the Holiday season.

A dragon I bought from this sale arrived today in excellent condition – packed in the original box and then in another big box with lots of packing peanuts. So, if you are worried about buying one of Greater Basilisk’s dragons and having it shipped from Switzerland, you can relax (and go grab one of her remaining Spectrals). 😉

Sometimes I get a “your package has been shipped” notification which includes a tracking number, sometimes not. I don’t know what makes the difference.

Green? Blue? Hmmm … very dark ruby red? 🙂 I’m not a painter – I just admire. I’m sure that whatever you choose will be lovely.

The blurb for the Poad says that the spiderweb is hand painted but the stripes were airbrushed on using a stencil. If the stencil works well (it looks like it does), maybe there will be many striped Poads in the future.

The shyla dragonsnails that are currently available on purplecat’s website (purplecat creatives) are cute too. And the lying-down foal is darling! 8)

I think it should be a contest – the person with the oldest sewing machine gets the Poad. 😉 My Singer sewing machine is from 1935 (works great, too). Anybody else have an old one?

Thank you all very much! I had hoped that the walks would be enough to keep the nails worn down (we walk on a mix of pavement and grass) but obviously not. Petsmart is a good suggestion. I will check with them and get the nails taken care of. 🙂

I have been taking care of two dogs for the last several months and so far, so good, except that their nails are getting really long. Is this a problem for a dog’s health? One dog hates to have her feet handled and the owners tell me that cutting her nails involves a muzzle for the dog and two strong people to clip the nails. If necessary I could take her to the vet, and I will if cutting the nails is important, but otherwise I will wait until her annual visit in a few months. So, all you long-time dog owners, … what is the story on dog nails? Thanks. 🙂
