Ah, so it was the CandyCorns then? Or also the older Fantasy batch?

I’m short a box. If the Fantasy ones (not the CandyCorns) had no box either, that would explain why I’m missing one…I would have sent it in a trade.

The closest match I’ve found is nail polish. Which ovbiously is not a viable option!

Reading through this thread, I have thoughts:

                      A) “Huh, well I guess this illustrates an advantage to being single which I had not formerly been aware of. Thanks!”

                      B) “Huh, that fellow I’m seeing actually got me a Windstone. I see long-term WC (Windstone Compatibility). Awwwwww.”

                      C) “Huh, these are great tips for the future! Thanks the most!!!”

AAAAH! Minnue is a very pretty name; I would have been too tempted with “Crybaby”, that teardrop marking is making me just melt!!!

I don’t know if my Harley counts as a rescue, he came from a neighbor’s barn cat’s litter. He’s the City Cousin. His other siblings went on to become barn cats themselves though, and none of them survived past 3 years but him. 🙁 If I didn’t live in an apartment, I’d have a much larger menagerie. Beautiful kitty cats everyone! I see lots of happy furry faces. 🙂 <3

Just an FYI to anyone paying attention to this thread from WIndstone (Pam or Melody, lol)

Indigo Ice and Indigo Forest definitely have my thumbs up and I would love to see other pieces in these colors, ‘n would be giddy with an LP run of one of them 🙂

I like Apoxie Sculpt best too. For large areas I need to recreate, I usually do them in a couple sittings. I have a cat Gargoyle with a missing paw, so rather than do the whole paw in one sitting, I did the basic shape of it, let it cure, and then shaped it a little with an Exacto. Now that it’s cured and sculpted, I have a rock-hard base to put another layer over, and sculpt in the texture without accidentally warping the paw.

Hardly a revolutionary idea (seen lots of sculptors work like this before); it works great.

If you want to try your hand at repairs, this would be a good piece to start with! The chipped areas are small and it is easy to find close-up photos of hatchlings to go off of. The paint matching might be a little tougher because he’s Peacock which has a lot of colors. But if you like painting it’s not too bad.

If you want to send him away for a repair, the advantage you have here is that he’s teeny-tiny, and shipping will be nice and cheap!

It’s mostly an off white, almost an eggshell color. Start with an ivory & lighten with straight white or darken as needed with a little burnt umber. Each unicorn color batch is slightly different so there is no set color mix, so you just have to try to match as best you can.

Thanks so much! I have a Baby Peg with a teeny ear chip that would be perfect to practice this recipe on. 🙂

I think I joined the forums a little before you took your hiatus, so I very rarely saw you, but you’re right! You are famous here Kyrin! 😀 When one can work the magic you do with repairs, your reputation precedes you! We love ya right back. 🙂
