They say good things come to those who wait, and that has completely come true for me! 🙂 I finally got the mahogany hatching empress, and with the new riser, I’ve got a little mahogany family. Here they are, inside and outdoors.
I love them so much!
Hi, Melody! I know you and P.S. have been painting various Little Rock dragons in gypsum for eBay, and I was wondering if you were considering bringing them in as a P/LP item? Or, alternatively, will the cement versions ever come back?
I would also love to see the Rock Dragon in either a test paint or P/LP.
I am sorry if this question has been asked and answered a million times, but I did a forum search and haven’t found the answer yet…
Thanks so much for any response.
We have a cart full of gypsum little rock dragons that I intend to paint as a limited production batch, but I have been putting it off. I need to come up with a nice, not-too-difficult color to paint them in,one that is distinctly different from the cement ones so there is no confusion over which is which.
No, we aren’t doing cement any more. 🙁Yay! I was hoping that you would do some little rock dragons as an LP in gypsum. The old cement ones are so hard to find nowadays; I would love to have the chance to buy a new version.
*GASP*
I thought Pam said there weren’t any more metallic brindles. I LOVE that hatching emperor (surprise surprise there).
Wow, I won’t be saving any money this month. 😛
I have a question about glass eyes; has anyone tried using Tohickon reptile eyes in their PYOs? I can see that their flat-back reptile eyes are more hemispherical than the bird eyes, which makes me wonder if that would make them not fit in a Windstone PYO. Would a smaller size work, e.g. 10mm in a keeper?
If anyone has tried this, please let me know how it worked out. Tohickon has a pair of reptile slit-pupil eyes that would match a PYO keeper I have perfectly, but that’s useless to me if they won’t fit.
I have a favor to ask! Can someone post a picture of their Gold Old Warrior in natural lighting? I’m looking to see both versions -the old one with little to no violet and the newer one with lots of violet.
Since I find a lot of difficulty finding photos of these beauties, I can never seem to chose which one I like more! So if anyone gets a chance and can post pictures of theirs, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
Ask and ye shall receive! Here are some pics of my low violet gold OW. The first two are in direct sunlight, the third in shade. I hope they help you make your pick. 🙂
That spectral’s colours are GORGEOUS! I hope he goes to an outstanding home!
Oh, don’t worry. I’m sure he and my mahogany emperor will become fast friends. 😉
I totally didn’t expect to win him; I’m so pleased that I did. I just love mahogany.
I’ll put in my vote for buckskin too. I’d snap up a buckskin male and mother pegasus in a heartbeat!
I agree, the grey seemd an odd color to put next to the beautiful brindle dragon. Of course, that didn’t stop me from bidding on her. 🙂
I have my fingers crossed that a hatching emperor is in the works with a tan, ivory, or even brown egg like a chicken’s. And I think I would kill (okay, maybe not kill, but you know what I mean) for a full-size brindle emperor, where egg color obviously would not be an issue.
Ooh, I love that ocean flash young oriental! The turquoise body color is stunning. I hope to see more dragons in this scheme.
Oh man, I am drooling over those reptile pattern ones. That gila monster moon dragon is jaw dropping!
The ivory curl and moon dragon are really nice. It’s such a simple and elegant look that really lets the sculpt shine.
I’ve had a flurry of arrivals lately, so I thought it was about time to post the new additions to my collection.
My current unicorn herd
My latest peacocks
All of my PYOs. From left to right they are Bull Raptor and Copper Dusk by drag0nfeathers, Clip the Third by Hannah, Cowhide by grayfire artz, and grey winged wolf and Golden Foliage ki-rin by Janice Epperley.
This one isn’t new, but I never got around to showing him off, so here’s the Black Violet lion that Melody painted.
He’s super hard to photograph; none of the pictures I took fully captured just how muscular this sculpt is.And my latest eBay piece, the Spring Bronze spectral dragon by P.S.
The green and gold on it are so lovely and subtle. And all the cream-colored areas have interference paint on them, so it shines like crazy. I bought this one on a whim, and I’m so glad I did.Oh wow, Matryoshka, that has got to be my favorite pebble wolf so far. Really nice. Congrats!
Here’s my little pebble wolf. She’s a red husky with turquoise/green (it’s hard to tell) eyes. I’m quite pleased with her, though it’s possible I could be tempted to trade her.
I Agree! Reptile colors are some of my favorite windstones so far! I even have a crested gecko! I really hope we see a Five Lined Skink!
*quickly Googles five-lined skink*
Oh my goodness! Imagine how cute a fledgling would look painted like that. Too adorable.
I’m jealous of all your recent purchases, Leigha! lol
The hatchers are great, of course, but what I really love is the purple “saddle” on the copper sunset spectral. The detail on the wings is really beautiful too. Nice catch!
