Soooo wished I could afford one, but sadly…can’t. They’re all so beautiful…especially fond of the dapple greys and pintos. Had to squash the temptation. And well, it really sucked to have to do that. 🙁
Can we expect regular production horses soonish?

Had seen this article awhile ago with some incredible horses in it. The striking Akhal-Teke and the gorgeous silver dapple pinto are my faves. The last one pictured though, the paint with the word ‘horse’ across his side, is photoshopped.
My deepest condolences… I can relate. Lost my Dad just over a year ago and I’m still trying to learn to live without him. The grief is so all consuming at times.
I will hug my Mom for you…I treasure her all the more these days.
A quote that comforts me…
“Grief never ends, but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith, it is the price of love.”Oh. My. Gosh.
The more I see of these ponies, the more I want one. Trying to pick a favorite from the video was impossible.Another pony photo (from Melody’s Facebook page):
Oh, I will be wanting one of these! Sooo pretty! Hoping for some dapple greys.
Can someone tell me why they are called “pebble” animals?
Safire_blue, you are entrant number 17. I’m very selfishly hoping your dollar stays down a few more months since I have a trip to Canada with my mom and a friend at the end of July, and I’d love to SPEND MORE ha ha ha.
Everybody who PMed me to be in the drawing prior to 6:30 am California time should now have a number. 🙂
Well, I think the exchange will be in your favor for awhile. 🙂 I’ll say welcome…and enjoy your visit! I hope you find lots of wonderful goodies to buy! 😀
And thank you once again for the chance to have that gorgeous unicorn!
I’d love to be included in the drawing. What a wonderfully nice thing to do! 🙂 With the Canadian rate exchange I couldn’t afford one of these lovelies…as tempting as it was. This one has so many favorite things I like…purple, flowers, zebra stripes, and of course the fact that it’s a young unicorn. 😀
Good luck to everyone. 🙂
A few updates from Melody’s Facebook page:
Chicken progress. I am defining all the feathers for a PYO [dated May 5]
Quillin progress. He is too serious [dated May 5]. Melody is thinking of changing his hooves to paws.
Quillin profile [dated May 5] In March Melody said, “I know Kirins and Quilins are considered the same mythical animal, but the images of quilin I found look way more carnivorous than Kirins, though they both consider eating tofu to be murder. Quilins have doglike bodies, big fangs, and almost always have two antlers, not one horn.”
Love the Quillin! Hooves or paws…I dunno…how about paws in front and hooves in back?
And I have to say I just love that horse head behind the Quillin! So awesome. And the cute lil critter to the right behind the chicken. Don’t know what he is, but he’s adorable and I’d want one! 😀
Thanks! Honestly tho, the base practically does all the work for you, all the textures and details are amazing!
That is exactly what I thought when I was painting mine.
Just a word to say how amazed I am at the collections in this thread. Wow.
I’ve no duplicate sculpts in my collection yet…but I suspect that will change in the future when I buy more of the PYO hippocampus. I’m so in love with that piece and I’m looking forward to trying different paint jobs on it.I would SO happily send this chilly, snowy weather to anyone who wants it. If only it were possible… *sigh*
My biggest complaint is that when the weather is at the tipping point between melting/freezing it creates havoc on the highways with icy conditions, and of course, not everyone slows down accordingly. Aside from that, I’m tired of driving in “grandma mode”. I drive a sports car and prefer faster speeds. 🙂
Here in Manitoba (or as I’ve called it before, Manitscolda) we generally have a fairly short summer. So for the most part, we’re all extremely eager to get it started. All things considered, it’s been a good winter (if there is such a thing as a “good” winter) with about half the snow amount we normally get, and only a couple of those awful -30 C days. I think I make a pretty crappy Canadian, with the amount of dislike I have for winter, snow, and cold. 😀I’m just gonna whine about the weather. April has absolutely sucked. Snow or freezing rain almost every day…COLD…and man…I’m getting pretty annoyed already. Thinking ol’ Ma Nature needs a Midol or something. Sheesh. 🙁
I have collected Windstones for many years, and got a large bump in my collection when a store that was carrying them was going out of business and selling everything for less than half price. I took home several pieces that day (can’t recall exactly how many though) and I was one happy girl. I’ve got 19 pieces now, counting my recent PYO acquisitions. I went for a lot of years adding nothing to my collection when the few dealers in my area stopped selling Windstone. When I recently saw the PYO hippocampus, I knew I just couldn’t go on without that little critter, I’m so in love with it. So now I’m hooked again…happily I might add, though I do need to look into finding some display space.
I was trained in commercial art, but the idea of having that career was less and less appealing. For me, doing art all day for someone else, within commercial parameters seemed to lessen the pleasure I felt for sitting down to my own artwork. These days, I too work in retail. I wouldn’t call it a step down or something I can be less proud of, I make good money, have great benefits and I work with some fantastic people. It’s definitely brought out my people skills. Art is a hobby for me now, and I’m fine with that. I do what I want to do, when I have the time.March 25, 2016 at 11:43 am in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #943578Oh wow! These are absolutely beautiful!
Very nice work! I’d love to know what product you used for the iridescent effects.
