Very good. Very visual.

That lightning is too cool!
Bugger and I had a huge fight tonight. I took a break and week off of scaling him. I wasn’t idle though and spent many hours combing the internet for reference photos to help my get an idea of how to scale out his wing fingers. I finally blended together some different lizard scale patterns in my head to get a good mental picture of what I wanted.
Well I started with one of the shorter wing fingers tonight and began scaling. No sooner had I finished three scales than His Royal Highness Bugger decided he didn’t like what I was doing. He didn’t want his scales done that way thank you very much! He really is a brat you know?
So after much frustration, choice word uttering and me at the brink of tears we finally reached a compromise. I would do it his way and he would behave.
Don’t tell him but I think his way does look better. But I DID NOT SAY THAT! And if you tell him I will deny everything.

I loved watching the live stream. That was so fun! Thanks for putting up with us and showing the babies in progress.
January 23, 2012 at 12:31 am in reply to: Dragon books plus tons of Sci-Fi books! Toward end of thread. #870297Thanks, yes it is a very large amount of books. I have been listing more and more each day and can’t see that I have made a dent in my “population”. It is going to take me longer than I thought to find new homes for these treasures. At the rate I’m going it is going to take years! And it’s not like I’m slacking in the listing department.
I think the listing would go faster if I didn’t take actual pictures of each and every book (sometime two pictures) and just use Ebays stock photos. I just can’t do that though. I think it is important for the buyer to see the actual book they are bidding on. Especially with the same book having different covers.
Paint Barf? lol 😀
….But last night I was looking at the height of the different pieces and it’s kinda short compared to mom and dad so I guess it might not be an adult like I previously thought.
Here is where I get confused. I am pretty sure of my guess until I read that there is a Mom and Dad. I can’t find any parents for the one I am thinking of making me wonder if I am on the right track.
Update! I found two “parents” for my possible guess! I think I have it figured out and I think I asked the correct question! WooHoo! I hope it gets picked now.
This is fun!
Ok I sent in my question. I hope if it gets chosen it’s the right question to ask. I would hate to be on the complete wrong track and blow a chance for everyone to get a better idea of the correct answer by asking about the wrong sculpt. I can only think of one sculpt it fits but I am new to Windstone so I might be totally un-aware of the other possible candidates.
January 19, 2012 at 9:06 am in reply to: Dragon books plus tons of Sci-Fi books! Toward end of thread. #869740Also, for those of you who ask for books (Thanks bunches everyone!) it helps if you let me know if you want hardcover or paperback. That way I know which pile to start looking in.
And with the paperbacks, I try hard not to break up a series if I have it. So if you are looking for just one, unless I happen to have it loose, i.e. not with the rest of the series, I would rather not break up a set.
Thanks everyone who has sent requests. I’m happy I could help some of you find the books you were looking for. Keep them coming. 🙂
January 19, 2012 at 9:00 am in reply to: Dragon books plus tons of Sci-Fi books! Toward end of thread. #869739Also doesn’t say if you’re willing to ship internationally. I live in Canada, so that would be good to know. Thanks Hun.
I have never shipped a book to Canada but if you are willing to hold my hand through the process I am more than willing to give it a go. Feel free to send me a list of any books you might be looking for.

I am working on scanning all the books into a simple database so I know what I have. Problem is, many of these books are pre-ISBN or even bar code. And, some are so rare or obscure that the ISBN they have is not recognized by most programs.
January 18, 2012 at 6:13 am in reply to: ♥♥♥NEW Little dragon Avalon ♥ ♥ !! photos page #5♥♥♥ #869585Great work. Your shading and blending is always a wonder to behold.
So cute . Are you going to paint him when your done or leave him as is ?
Probabily not this particular one. I will have plenty of Little Buggers to play with once I get the mold made, so the “original” will stay unpainted in case I need to make another mold. But once I get to where I feel my painting skills are up for it I will likely paint him then. A paint job shouldn’t effect any future mold making if it is done well and thinly.
