IMO, the qualifications to join the club, should be really simple, like a $20 a year fee, and the new member swearing that they don’t eat puppies or dropkick hatchers.
That would make it more approachable for newcomers, and easier for Windstone staff to keep track of.
Hanging out on the forum seems to be its own reward. But I can see wanting some kind of official-official recognition, for long term fans and collectors.
So here’s a thought. Which may just be -> 😈 <- but here it goes. By putting the club newsletter online and keeping overhead low, the club would hopefully balance out to maintain, cost and (hopefully) timewise. So let's say that after five years of paying dues and being a club member, the member is given the option of a lifetime membership for say, $50 or whatever price. Or something similarly shiny, but not costly to Windstone. But long-term forum members, or dealers or what have you, are given the option to pay however many years they've been around retroactively, in order to get the shiny lifetime membership sooner.

Ikea stuff is attractive and well priced, but you get what you pay for. I like Ikea. It’s awesome for students and those just starting off, the designs are great, but the quality is better described as adequate than good. I second Purpledragonclaw’s concern about the structure of that particular cabinet. (Especially for heavy, delicate Windstones)
My vote would be for the second hand cabinet, even at triple the price. Both of those designs seem very well made, and quality furniture (even used) is an investment you can enjoy for a long time.
Dreams, eh? I had a rather wierd one with Windstones. I was swimming near this rocky beach in calm, deep, dark water. Whales and Poads were swimming near me. Real Poads, not the models. I was quite wierded out by this (even in the dream), but the whales and Poads didn’t seem to mind one bit.
Funny thing is, while I like whales and Poads, they’re not where my strongest affinity lies. Maybe it was something I ate. 😕
Lovely though an Empress sounds, I’m very glad the Old Warrior turned out as he did.
Though I do hope to see an Empress some day.
And come to think of it, an Old Warrioress sounds awesome too. 😳 squeek*

The forecast around here is cloudy with showers, and 10 to 20 mph winds tonight. So fly safely and look out for our darn satellite dish. 😉

Lessee… a large disgruntled snake (not practical or humane, but a rubber snake with dubbed in hissing may suffice), a hubcap, a fine porcelain vase or other delicate/valuable item (preferably belonging to the arch-villain and held hostage/tossed around during a melee), a leather waterbag (whapped or squirted), a falling chandelier, aaand, that’s all I got for now. :shrug:
Dear Santa, I have two questions.
Once when I was little, on Christmas Eve, I snuck downstairs, and there were my parents, eating your cookies! 😮 I was shocked but since then I’ve heard of several more cases. How does this impact you? Do repeat offenders land on the naughty list?
Also, what is your policy on people writing ‘From Santa’ on their gift tags? I stumbled on something nice for my sister aside from her ‘official’ gift from me. I’d like to credit you for it, but am unsure of the etiquette. She’s a long term resident of the naughty list, if that clarifies or complicates matters.
Would love to hear your thoughts on these pressing concerns.
