We unpacked the Red Fire dragons yesterday. You will not believe how beautiful they are! FAR better than the pics! They have gold and orange blended beautifully. They really do look like fire! I liked the ruby finish but these are even better. I have the Hatchling en route to my store now too! Whee!
Also, I just heard that Little Happy Cat and the Small Spirit Wolf are available again. Yay!
I got my Red Fire Momma and male in the store, if anyone needs one by Christmas. I also have a ruby Male and Momma left too…..
I have them in my store and they don’t look that bright. They are very vibrant but beautiful.
December 2, 2007 at 2:36 am in reply to: Direct buying from The Company Store;..ponder , ponder. #637807As a retailer and e-tailer, I think I know what Art means. Here in Omaha, NE, I carry almost the full line in my brick and mortar store. I sell almost none though. It disappoints me that we don’t sell them in the store. I wish you folks lived in Omaha!
I do sell several online in my webstore and I was very happy that they were doing well and I could provide these gorgeous statues to folks all over the world. I panicked too when I saw that Windstone was selling online. I saw a very good source of income leaving. I called Susie and she was very sweet and assured me that most folks were buying from online retailers or local stores, not the Windstone website. Our brick and mortar would be hurting if not for our website, we do more online business now than in our physical store, it is very hard to keep the doors open without a website nowdays.
I know that I have gotten some great referrals and met some wonderful folks through this forum and I am very appreciative of that and how easy Windstone is to work with and how gorgeous their statues are.
I am thrilled that Windstone is making the Sunset Griffins available to the retailers. My family arrived yesterday and I will have them online in about an hour.
I agree that layaway if very helpful. we offer layaway too, we have for a decade! It has helped a lot of nice folks get the Windstones they dream of!
Blessings,
CindyThat top picture really is accurate, that is how mine look, gorgeous!
The last batch I just got in my store of the Em-pea was so stunning that everyone just stopped to galk. The purple was not really purple but a purple/blue and lots of it. The Male has a streak of bright gold on the front of his head. The colors are absolutely stunning. I was so impressed. I have had shipments of the Em-pea but his latest was sooo incredible.
I got the young EM Pea in my store yesterday. I think the Fledgling will be out soon.
I agree too! They are hard to find. Ebay it.
One a different note- I just got the Emperor Peacock Young Dragon and Gold Emperor in my store yesterday, wow! They are fabulous!
I have a Peacock Emperor left too.
http://www.magicalomaha.com/penarubydragons.htmWe got the Emerald Peacocks in the store and wow are they gorgeous! I have them on my website but the pictures do not do them justice.

The green is very vibrant, almost a kelly green. I like it better than the peacock, rainbow or emerald finishes. Very well done!
Fed Ex does not ship out all packages overnight, that is a special service that is very expensive. It cost me about $40 to overnight a small tee shirt. Fed Ex costs more and breaks more packages that the USPS from what I have found. They have warehouses dedicated to lost packages. I am still waiting for them to pay for the $300 gargoyle they broke 6 years ago!
I think DHL works with USPS in residential areas.
Thanks Wolfenmachine! I feel better now! 😀
Your Empress dragon will ship right out, she’s a beauty! I am sure you will love her!
Skigod377, we do indeed do layaway. Call us toll free at the store at (866) 414-7473, thanks!
Eeek! Wolfenmachine, you are making us look bad here!
We stand behind all of our orders 100%. We insure items, or offer a replacement, or full refunds for broken or lost items. We take customer service very seriously.
Here is what happened with the Emperor:
Wolfenmachine bought the Emperor way back in August. Unfortunately, it broke despite the Windstone approved packaging and double boxing. Wolfenmachine called and told us it broke and asked what would happen if she filed a claim with the Post Office. My husband told her that the USPS would keep the dragon, and pay her, but that a replacement would be difficult to find. We paid to have insurance on the dragon, and even gave Wolfenmachine a discounted price to help her out. She saved a long time for it. She chose to keep the dragon, and was going to resculpt his foot. Now, she has decided to file a claim, which is certainly her right. That is why we insured packages, to give our customers such a choice.
When Charlie spoke to her today, he simply forgot that he had insured it for it has been months. A few hours later, he re-checked our records, and indeed we had insured it. I could not imagine him shipping such an expensive piece without insurance! He then went ahead and called her at her home, and left her the good news.
BTW, Wolfenmachine, I thought I was out of the Peacock Hatching Empress but I found one, and set it back for you. Go ahead and place your order…it’s yours!
😀I placed a Windstone order Wednesday for my store and here are the pieces that are now sold out:
Hatching Dragon peacock and rainbow
Mother dragon Peacock
Male Dragon Peacock
Coiled dragon Peacock
Old warrior PeacockStores may have them but can get no more of them.
I did not raise my prices on the retired but I certainly understand Grandio’s position. The peacock and rainbow had slowed down and it has cost money to keep them in stock, now is the time to recoup some of that slower inventory turn around. They could have pulled them all and sold them on Ebay.
