Jennifer, what type of paint did you use on the spandex gloves? Any particular mediums used in addition to the paint? I ask because I’m working on humanoid rat hands/toes for a costume for next week and want to add shading and definition to the ‘skin’.
I’ll post pictures after con. It’s a known character, but I’ll wait until I post photos (or drag0nfeathers will beat me to it… I’m behind in getting anything posted online anywhere :P).
I’ve seen video of Qaw in action. Wonderfully portrayed corvid! I love your masks! I need an excuse to make a dino, bird, or griffin of some sort. Maybe NYCC or something…
Was it the Dark Crystal video? That one went viral! I saw it on facebook.
I find that the golden acrylics (Same ones I use on Windstones) adhere the best. If I need to thin them I use airbrush medium, especially since it can be used on fabric and is very flexible.
I absolutely loved the raptor. Did you make the tail for it too?

Celestial Rainstorm:
In pyo swaps, many people sign up to enter. Whoever is hosting the swap will pair them all up to a random person whom they will paint a swap peice for. You do not usually paint for who you receive from. You’ll be able to put in a few basic guidelines (like maybe certain sculpts and some ideas of colors or patterns), but its mostly a free to paint swap. You usually have about 7 weeks to paint your peice and then they all get mailed on the same day. You’ll paint a peice for someone and get one from someone else in return. Melody even joins in sometimes.

Email me for current prices! awier(@)weaselsoneasels.comAlso want to add because I feel it’s valuable knowledge: To anyone making payments-please make sure you know and trust both your seller and your buyer. Paypal does not cover split payments, so if you are paying on a $500 item, and you’ve made, let’s say a $50 deposit, and then 3 more payments of $100 each and the seller disappears, you are out $300
It does if it was invoice. They have an option to allow multiple payments. but only if it was invoiced.

They will also host these on occasion for other things like, a chocolate care package, full of chocolates from around your area that others might not see or have access to or handmade Christmas ornaments.
There are some beautiful swap pieces painted. It is a fun way to get an original piece of art.
I recently hosted an ACEO Card Swap and have the Show Off thread posted… http://windstoneeditions.com/forum/2015-forum-aceo-swap-done-show-thread

Hm. Well for a suggestion, here’s something I’ve been contemplating. What about a rock painting swap? You know, those round flat river rocks that are all over the place.

Truthfully I’m still trying to save money to buy a house out of state and being on the forum too much tends to burn a hole in my pocket that syphons out money I should be saving. LoL!
I’m still here though 🙂 I’ll always be here till I’m dead. *nods* Then I’ll just haunt the place!
Do you know how to do tail articulation? I need help and am looking for someone to commission for just the articulation.
