I feel……..stuck. I have two options since it seems no one is willing to trade for a different pattern: 1. sell her and not have any GB poads even though I was SO excited for them or 2. keep her and have a GB that won’t sing for me.
Has ANYONE been able to trade for one they like better????

I do believe this is the only red-eyed poad out of the batch! The details are so cool, little copper claws and silver eyelids. I’m spending way too long being hypnotized by the sparkle paint too. When I looked at the felt pad at the bottom I couldn’t read the “Grab Bag Edition” at first, and for some reason thought it said “Onion” instead of “Edition”. So that’s its name now 🙂 I’d be open to trading, siberakh1 has my favorite out of the batch but I also really like the straw-eyed black one with the silver spots at the bottom of the pattern. As fishy as it all sounds, I hope he’s willing to sell you the ‘broken’ emp! A few years ago I purchased a chipped old brown male through Ebay and while we were discussing packing, the seller mentioned that oh, the damage occurred when his big brown dragon got knocked off the shelf. I inquired further and learned this was indeed an emperor! I told him I’d be happy to try and restore the emperor’s pieces, unfortunately by then it was in a landfill. Sadness!

I’ll totally echo Wampus on this point, it’s VERY worth it to get someone to lend you a box for shipping! I did that for my old green emp a few years back and it arrived in perfect shape. With something as rare as your find (congrats too BTW!) don’t take any chances! I always hate to assume that sellers don’t know or don’t care about proper shipping, but it really never hurts to insist that things be done the best way. If I had an emperor box I’d be happy to lend it, unfortunately I don’t. Best of luck and hope he gets home safe!

Wow, someone got a VERY rare bird (er, dragon!) there! Wish I would have spotted that one myself earlier 🙁 I hope it at least went to a forum member that will appreciate the old fella!

Jealous of you duck and chicken owners! One of these days I’ll have a coop of my own but that’s not going to happen so long as I’m apartment-bound, hah! I used to have budgies when I was younger, and loved how they filled the house with happy noises and always tried to imitate the birds outside 🙂
