Posting this from lovely Waikiki beach in Oahu, Hawai’i.
I will be here for the next two weeks!
That is indescribably awesome.
I would be thrilled if even a few dragons were made lp in this color. Fledgie, Spectrals, OWs, emps and males would all be lovely.
This was my last visit before vacation today:

February 28, 2012 at 2:08 am in reply to: February 2012 Grab Bag Young Poads–post their arrivals! #875043Well, i wound up with 2. My mom got me one before knowing i hd already got one for myself. Either way i dont like either of them . I am either wnting to trade or sell. My color choices would pretty much be anything in the pastels Or one with loads of purple.
Since im unable to post pixs if anyone would be willing to do it for me i have 2 pixs of each. I would appreciate it.
If someone can post them for me i would appreciate it also if they could be put in the trade thread.I sent a PM. Go ahead and email them to me and I’ll post them for ya.
My best thoughts! Wampus has some great advice. A lot of this often comes back to dietary issues, which is frustrating because even vets will sell you dietary stuff that really isn’t good in the long term (I have major rants against Science Diet). ANYHOW. I know you have a lot of pets but is there any way you can meal-feed Ein so that the cats can’t get into his food?
THIS. Some vets are paid to push brands(science diet is a big one) that arent necessarily the best for what you need.
Not letting the cats eat dog food is good advice. Since cats are obligate carnivores, a lot of the things in dog food they simply cant digest easily and their kidneys cant handle it long term. Thats why I ‘meal feed’ as Jennifer puts it. Feed them the amount that they eat completely in one sitting, then dont give them any more.
GCCs are definitely a fearless species. If I dont clip the wings on Maya, she will dive bomb the cats and chase them off the cat tree. She does not fear the ducks either and will try to get down on the floor and follow them around. I spend a lot of time just preventing her from getting into trouble. She’s not overly loud. I’d say lovebirds are easily capable of being louder. My parrotlet certainly is. But this is a bird person speaking. My definition of loud is ‘Yellow-Naped Amazon’ and louder. Lol.

My poad is on my doorstep. I dont get off work til late. *sigh* Watching the clock.
PMed and emailed.
Iams can be a BAD food for male cats. I hear about problems with it concerning the whole crystals thing. The medicated Science Diet can help in the short term, but I dont recommend it for long term. It still has fillers in it that are NOT good for cats in general. Always read the ingredients. If there is corn/rice as a first ingredient then you need something better. Its not worth it to buy cheaper food in the long run because then you have the vet bills to deal with later.(its true that some cats can eat the friskies/meow mix/crap their whole lives and not have problems. But a lot of cats do and its not a good idea to keep them on it if they get crystals.)
If he’s getting it this young then I would start feeding him a high protein wet food diet. No dry food at all until it clears up. And maybe not much even after that. I recommend these brands:
Wellness
Innova
Nutro Natural Choice(not Nutro Max)
Eagle Pack
Blue BuffaloPetsmart and Petco carries all of these brands.
EDIT: And these are the ‘tread with caution’ brands that I dont recommend to any cat owner:
Science Diet
Iams
Eukanuba
Anything by Purina
Anything cheaper than theseThe original sale price was 677, a lot more than 450.
I own a green cheek conure and a parrotlet. If I had to recommend either of them to a beginner, I’d recommend the conure. The parrotlets are far more independent and in a way less friendly sometimes.
Cockatiels are good for beginners(hand raised babies only). I dont recommend parakeets unless they were hand raised from a breeder and not from a pet store.
