As for the investment thought process- I buy the pieces I want (if I can) because I want to. Investment opportunity is a nice idea, but it’s *never* a guarantee. Seeing that some people are now having difficulties reselling some of their pieces, I’m glad I’m able to hold on to the ones I have. (and I’d LOVE to buy some of those re-sells, but I just can’t afford to π )
Hmm, slightly rambly, but my point is to buy a Windstone because you like it and want to display it, not as an investment.

Slow. I’m sorry. It’s been *crazy* busy at work and I’ve been working extra days to try and help keep up with the workload. I still have the PYO griffin! I’ll work on her as soon as I can get some time!

Wowza! NICE looking Hippogryph candlelamp. I’m almost tempted to go for him, though I really try to stick to griffins (and three, okay four, dragon sculpts) …and some poads.
…and maybe a flapcat.
I with Melody would paint griffins in such eye-catching colors. Other than the cheetah ones, it’s been a lot of brown and grey.

The eyes look photoshopped for some reason…. they’re pixelated.

“Train Wreck” he is not. π I find him quite beautiful, acutally. π

Weird.
Well, I’m sorry ya’ll lost (me, too! :-D) so let’s convene the next meeting of W.A.H! (Windstone Auction Hopes-Denied) right here! Who’s got the chocolate? π₯ XD

…I hate to post this, but the timing on this griffin is just atrocious for me right now. I’m prepping for a convention that I staff (and put pieces in the Art Show) in less than two weeks, then the boyfriend (who I see only TWICE a year, if that) is visiting for a week… right up until I leave for two weeks of National Guard training. What this means is I won’t be able to give this griffin proper attention until later July at the earliest. Is this a problem for anyone?

How did that happen when the increments between the winning bid and the second highest were $10.00 apart? *confused*

I was the highest bidder until the last few seconds, but the bid I put in was at the “either way, I’m happy” level. Grats to whoever won him, though. He’s quite stunning!

It’s here, it’s here!
I got home from doing laundry and stuff and found a BOX at my door! (Addys swirled to protect IDs)
Eeee! SO many goodies!
The pillow is lovely, and the bird is exquisite! Is it hand-painted? I LOVE the little ornament, and Yankee candles are ALWAYS lovely! They smell so good, thank you! I can’t wait to try the shower gel, either! This brightened my whole day! Eee!

*laughs* Oh, Nam, you are SOOO silly! But AWESOME.
I especially like that last one. It kinda reminds me of… everyone in the forum when something they like comes out. π

Ahh, okay. No, that wasn’t me. I was being “good” for a while and not really bidding on stuff until the “Goldfish” Male came up. I’ve been waiting for him to show up for nearly a year, and didn’t want to miss out. π (Of course, the fact that BOTH the Phoenix and the Hot Summer Lap came out the same week was killing me. I lost both of those.)

Thanks!
And here’s the other “photocomic” I did when I get Mr. Gold Wine Griffin…
Gold Wine: “So, man, am I gonna like it here?”
Prairie Falcon: “Yeah, it’s pretty cool.”
Gold Wine: “Any chicks?”
Prairie Falcon: *snickers* “A few”
Gold Wine: ?? “Why the snicker?”
Prairie Falcon: “You’ll see.”
Gold Wine: “HOLY MOTHER OF EGGS!”Windstone collector in remission. π
Fantastic gifts, all! I can hardly wait to see mine. π
