http://www.math.niu.edu/~rusin/known-math/98/beesAerodynamically bumblebees fly just fine. Otherwise they wouldn’t.
Paperclay /can/ refer to a variety of fired clay, I’ve used the stuff in ceramics classes before. Supposedly it’s got a much lower shrinkage when fired than normal clay, and definitely doesn’t shrink much when drying, so you can let your piece dry out, and still add clay to it and work on it.
But that’s probably not what we’re talking about here, given that you can’t fire Windstones.
I don’t like pink. But a fledgeling in pink would be cute! I think I’d buy it.
Heee. Our local place had two left, and I got one last week. *grins* Sooooooooooooooooooooo pretty! But now I really need the baby oriental. Preferrably in peacock.
I like the notion of unfolded wings, but I think the limitations of the medium have resulted in something a bit… odd. They’re straight! They’re ruler-straight and FLAT! The folded-up wings have more curves to them, which I think looks more natural.
And I love the eyes, they’re creepy and weird, and I’m all about creepy and weird.
As far as in game art, I always loved Chrono Trigger. By today’s standards it’s nothing special, but when it was new, the art was like nothing I’d ever seen before.
And the various Final Fantasy games have had a lot of good in game art, and a lot of great concept art, and fan art.
Ah, that explains it!
I got the Tales collection. It was interesting, but it seemed to be a bit heavily loaded with environmentalist propaganda. I am definitely in favor of saving the environment and protecting endangered species, but I don’t think it helped the stories very much, it was a little too much like reading a pamphlet and not enough like reading fiction.
Oh yes! I sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo want the big PYO dragon! But I want the little ones with green eyes too.
Yeah, I antiqued him, and I had a time getting it to be even on the white bits. I think the camera exaggerates that, as it doesn’t look nearly so splotchy in person.
I’m still learning!
Nah, we don’t bother to stalk each other here, we’re all too busy stalking Melody.
Apparently age does things that temperature doesn’t. I assume you tested the gold you use on claws and spines and such similarly, but every really old Windstone I’ve ever seen has the gold paint looking crackled and wierd. I’ve touched up the gold on quite a lot of my older ones.
I’m definitely fonder of the darker color.
I’m just waiting for fledgelings. *grins*
Yeah, I saw it as a kid and was scared to death by General Woundwort. I had nightmares about him! But I loved it anyhow. I’ve read the book about a million times.

Yeah, these are both Christmas gifts for friends. The guy getting the dragon I know will love it, he’s dragon crazy, and has this black opal dragon character.
The fellow getting the koi-rin loves the ki-rins, but I have no idea how he feels about koi! I’m crossing my fingers and hoping he likes it.
