I received mine from Hannah today! He is just beautiful! He is a combination of a wood thrush/oven bird and a snow leopard. He just has so much beautiful detail. Thank you so much!

Like the last several swaps, I asked for something inspired by this character.
And a group shot of the other swap pieces. It’s a poor picture due to glare, but it works. The three extra pups are the characters family.

While I have enough hobbies at home that I don’t get bored much, I’ve been kinda lonely and wishing I was better at making friends. Seems like each of the few I had either moved away or just kinda faded away, not wanting to get together anymore, always being too “busy,” leading me to give up. I’m not ALONE, since I have my husband. But it’d be nice to have another friend or 2, maybe someone that shares the interests of mine that my husband doesn’t, or just someone I can laugh and have fun with. When I remember fun times I had with friends in the past (I never had a lot but at least had a couple good ones), I realize how little fun and laughing like that I experience nowadays. It’s kinda sad.
There’s a girl I work with that I’m thinking about trying to become more than work-friends with but am not really sure how to go about it. I’ll probably ask if she wants to come over and watch Lord of the Rings with me sometime since I know we both like that (we both like a number of nerdy and geeky thinks actually). But I can’t help worrying it won’t go well or that she’ll feel obligated to be nice but won’t really want to hang out. She’s also super busy between work and going to vet tech school and trying to spend time with her husband I’m sure. But I guess one of these days I just need to get up the guts to ask. She may be leaving when she finishes vet school, as she’s talked about trying for an internship in Hawaii.
Part of me doesn’t want to try to make friends anymore since I become disappointed when friendships don’t last. But I don’t want to always be friend-less. It kinda sucks!
Hey there! Do you still live in Colorado Springs? I’d love to meet you if you’ve got the time. To be perfectly honest, I could use a friend to hang out with as well.
Here’s a few pictures of mine! He’s a really beautiful and deep brown color with white markings. I really like it, but I’m looking to see if I can get one that more closely resembles my dog Koda, so it will be up for trade.

This looks like a partial repaint to me. It looks like someone thought the regular stone color was too bland and decided to accent it with yellow/gold and black paint.
Here’s some pictures of an original boar that I once owned. It was more of a reddish-brown color with copper eyes. The newer versions were brown with red eyes. On rare occasions, the original animals do show up on ebay.
Repaint?
I don’t believe this is a repaint. I think this is a copper patina male dragon with teal eyes. The copper patina color varied quite a bit. Some pieces had no purple, while others had a lot and there were two different colors of eyes used – red and teal. The amount of patina also varied quite a bit as well.
Here’s a few pictures of mine! He is absolutely stunning and has a beautiful transition with his coloration from red-orange to a light orange-gold!
It would probably be a pain since I think these sculpts involve a lot of hand painting, but I’d love to see all three made in Blue Morpho.
