October 4, 2012 at 9:40 pm in reply to: A-FOO-FOR-ALL! An Epic Foo Swap! UPDATED OCT 2nd! TIME TO EMAIL ME YOUR PROGRESS!!! #887172Drag0n, did you send out confimations that you got our progress reports? Just wanna make sure you got mine. 🙂
We haven’t figured out his name yet, my boys call him Muffin, my hubby calls him Stripe (like the Gremlin). We’ll figure something out the more we get to know his personality. 🙂
Pony-up, ask around about where other people have taken their kitties. Several coworkers told us about a vet that is good AND inexpensive. We actually drove past two other vets to take him to this one. It was a very nice office and when I got my bill it said “Good Samaritan- $28”. That was all they charged to de-bug him and give him his first round of shots and all that other good stuff (they even trimmed his nails!). They did go easy on me since I told them I found him!
I forgot to ask the vet when we can get him neutered since I wasn’t sure if he was staying with us. They think he’s about 6 weeks old, so wait a couple more months? I’d like to get it done as soon as it can be done so he doesn’t mark my house.
I can’t believe a cat actually came down a chimney for some lovin’, LOL! XDHere are a couple cell phone pictures until I get the good ones uploaded from my camera.
My boys gave him their happy meal toys to entertain him while he waited for the doctor to come look at him:
He came over for some luvs:
The vet said that other than an abundance of fleas he’s in great shape! Looks like we’re going to be keeping him, my hubby is too attached to even offer him to our friend. The vet gave him his shots and some flea control and my hubby gave him a Dawn bath like you guys said to get rid of the flea dirt and other gross stuff (it was cute to watch my big manly hubby use the tiny comb to groom his tiny kitty!). He’s such a sweet kitty! He kept rolling on his back on the vet table to get us to play with him, and the whole car ride there he kept trying to catch his tail! He doesn’t hide or pull away from people either! Currently, my hubby made him a tiny home in our bathroom so he can settle into home life!…or sets you up with a rescue group that can help you “foster” the kitty until a permanent home can be found. If you don’t keep it!
I have a friend whose elderly kitty had to be put down about 6 weeks ago, and I thought I might ask her if she would like him. The loss of her cat was really hard on her…but as soon as I showed him to my hubby he fell in love! So the deal is that we show the kitten to our friend and if she falls in love we will give him to her. If our friend isn’t ready to have another cat, he’s staying with us. 😀

TIME TO EMAIL ME YOUR PROGRESS!!! #886583I’ve had to work work work this week, I’m looking forward to relaxing with my pup this weekend. I’m nervous too, I have free reign. I hope I picked some colors they like!
How is it that these fuzzies come to be in the homes that they go to?? Is there a certain list of names they will visit or is it just whoever has them sends them to whomever they want to?? Just curious 🙂
Just make it known that you’d like to have one visit you. That’s how one of them chose to visit me and how I found their next destination. 🙂
Cool! Time to find myself a second job!
OH! I thought it had to BE THERE by the 10th. PHEW! I can stop rushing. 🙂

MUST….NOT….PRESS….REFRESH…. :ghost:In the case I mentioned where someone was selling a piece before they had even received it and bidding on another at the same time it could come off in a way that makes it seem like they aren’t bidding because they like the piece so much as they like winning a competition with other bidders.
I suppose this could rub someone the wrong way if they are bidding because they genuinely like the piece and feel they are receiving competition from someone who doesn’t care about the piece just winning the competition between bidders as it were.
It might not be that way at all. About a year ago, I bid on a pebble cat that I just loved! I won and paid for it….then an hour later one that I liked even better popped up. GAH! Now what? I spent my spare cash on one I loved, now there’s one I can’t live without! LOL  I think cases like that one happen a lot too.
