My two came today!
The one on the left I absolutely ADORE and the one on the right has a little bit of everything I like mixed together in it. I got super duper lucky!
They’re both ones that I wanted which I’m very glad about, but I suppose it couldn’t hurt to throw it out there that if someone gets the kirin in the top left of the store photo I’d be glad to trade the one on the right for it. Otherwise, they’ve found their permanent home.

I received my lovely little koi inspired kirin today. A cute edition to my herd. 🙂 There are lots of ‘magic invisible’ sparkles that are hard to show in the photos and are most obvious where there is black when the sun shines.
I plan to purchase another on payday, so for fun (and to break up the boredom of work), I made a ‘these interest me most’ collage. I know I left a few off, but I’m too busy to alter the image. The bottom row of kirins intrigue me (I only put one question mark for the whole row), but I’d have to see them in person. I love seeing the photos of these and what everyone gets though! They’re all very nice. 🙂

I only glimpsed over this thread, but there are now virus/malware that will imbed into the actual hardware. A wipe of the system won’t even remove them. Worse than a rootkit. Such viruses/malware are not common, but they do exist.
I’ll try to look at this thread more closely later this week (I’m absolutely exhausted from the last few weeks of burning the candle in multiple directions and meet all my obligations) and will get back to you on this.

I’ve been burning the candle at both ends (work has been unexpectedly awful, no help from family members getting stuff done), juggling doctor appointments, and had to travel for work last week at the last minute, so my ornament was delayed in going out. 🙁 My recipient should have it by the weekend if the mail service isn’t too backed up. I apologize for the unplanned delay.
My gift swap arrived late last week, but I was away over the weekend. I received a book, some bath salts, an artwork of Princess Twilight Sparkle (my favorite of the new MLP:FiM), and an adorable little tadpoad (which also matches a young poad I have). Oreo agrees. No reason to feel bad for stopping riding. I’m really good with animals though my experience with horses is limited (mostly when I was in college… the horses ADORED the trainer. We had students of every level – I was beginner – so some horses were reserved for some students based on experience). I’ve run into animals every so often that I just have no connection to at all. It’s an odd feeling, but yeah, it’s like there is no conversation. Could just be you don’t ‘click’ with an animal for whatever reason (just like people). Sometimes it’s like the animal’s spirit just is absent (seen that once or twice…. it’s very odd). There should be a ‘conversation’ of sorts. Maybe you can take a vacation someday (I know you have an elderly fur baby, unless you can take her with you) to a place where you could go to a rescue or sanctuary as part of said vacation and spend some time. I’m not sure where you are located (I live near two race tracks – flat and harness) as well as edge of rural, so lots of stuff in my area including sanctuaries). It may just be the way the personality of the horses you rode or the way they are broken in could ‘break’ the spirit of the horses in a way. That can happen too. Just a thought. I’d give it another try, but in a different environment. The results might be very different.
Mine will mail out Priority on Tuesday. The last item I was waiting on arrived and I just need to wrap everything up.
Is everyone shipping/already shipped? I know of a few packages on their way, with some being watched for updates (the postal service isn’t being very good about scanning some packages this time of year causing undue stress).
