We had the first written part of our final exam on Thursday. We were given 3hrs to complete the exam and are all working away when at about an hour in the instructor announces that there is only 5min left! Freaking everyone out and the instructor goes “Just kidding” and cackles madly while the rest of us try to relax again to continue with the exam. Friday for the second part he comes in and asks why the class average is only 60%, before we even start the exam and pulls the same stunt he did the previous day. This time we were kind of expecting it so it wasn’t as traumatic.
He’s been this kind of jackass through the entire course and we’ve only ever received marks for or midterm, none of the projects. I am beyond glad that this course is over and praying that I passed because I don’t think I could take dealing with him again.
Anyone else ever had an instructor like this?Um what. Wow. Our professors aren’t allowed in the exam halls generally, or maybe they are and just never come, I dunno. If the proctors did that they’d get fired for sure. I complained about one because she came around partway through the exam to collect the little card things we fill out with our info and she started checking my exam and was telling me I have to put my name on every page. I was wearing earplugs and it was really distracting. First of all, we don’t have to put our name on every page of a multiple choice exam, because there are no answers on those pages. Second of all, maybe Imma write them down AFTER. Either way talking to every single person during the exam, really?

My family tends to handle situations like that… not nearly as nicely as you did let’s say. At least he moved the snow 😛
Well I wasn’t going to do another ebay auction but John and Janine and a few other people have persuaded me so in the next month there will be a random doll for sale. Anything in particular you guys would like? I haven’t started it yet 🙂

They are too cute, but I promised myself I wouldn’t get a big flap cat until I see one that looks like one of my naughty kitten boys.
But wasn’t someone hunting for a all black flap cat recently as a memorial to a deceased fur baby? I hope they stay in stock long enough for her/him to see it.

edit: I haven’t seen her post on facebook sine the 16th, and she hasn’t posted on the forum since the 6th. Hmmmm. I just checked and there are 15 shut eye and 11 open eyes in stock still. She might not be online much with thanksgiving.
Neh, worse to worse I can grab one for her. I don’t think they’ll sell out too fast though.
1. You don’t have to wrap it if you don’t want to. This is only the second time I’ve organized a swap, so I’m still learning the ways to make a swap go smoothly, but I’m going to say no to the teaser photo so that you’re recipient is totally surprised (like the PYO swaps). 😉
2. No, it’s not expected. Last year I was running late when I needed to pack it up and send it, so mine was wrapped in tissue paper with a little note in the box. Other people had included little goodies like candies, cards, nice gift boxes, tins, etc. You can add goodies if you’d like, but no one is expecting it.

I’m going to start mine this weekend after the Thanksgiving madness is over and I can relax with a fun project. Is everyone alright with their projects?

Okay, I have a few questions. This kind of applies to the general gift swap too. This is my first time doing a swap on this forum, prior to that it was only on the my little pony arena so I’m not sure exactly how they work.
1- Are we expected to wrap the presents? ALSO after we wrap them, are we supposed to (or can we) take a teaser photo before we ship and post them here?
2- For the ornament swap in particular, can we/ are we expected to send “extras”, such as candy, a card, or a few little stocking stuffers?
I think that’s it, thanks, I went shopping today and got started on my ornament, so much fun! 😀
Is it illegal to mail alcohol to the states?
I think I read somewhere that it’s illegal to send any sort of food across the border, but I’ve sent and received tons and never had an issue. Has anyone done it? I mean I’m not saying I’m doing to mail windstone a ton of booze or anything I’m just curious now!
We have these chocolate eggs in canada called kinder eggs, apparently not only do they not sell them in USA, but it’s illegal to, they’re considered “contraband” and someone got a huge fine for taking them over the border. Because they have a toy inside, and in the states you can’t put toys inside food or something.
Now I’m wondering if they make maple flavoured alcohol. XD
