Welcome! It is wonderful to hear your story! … I feel kinda like a drug dealer…
I’m starting to feel like a Windstone junkie! (In a good way) 😛
That’s cool how you found them! Welcome to the forum! Which dragons have you obtained?
Thanks for the welcome! I have Curled, Hatching, Mother, and Male dragons all in copper patina. Today ordered the Spectral and Rising Spectral in copper patina while looking for a Curled dragon for my mom for Mother’s Day (she is also a dragon enthusiast). I figured I better nab them while still available (and while I have a little play cash)! =)
I am glad you started this thread. I had a similar curiosity looking at what others had collected. It’ll definitely take time to collect the ones you like; especially as they take time to become available.
My answer to your question: I graduated a couple of years ago with a BS in animal health science and am now employed as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in Southern California. I love my job, which I think is the most important thing to consider when searching for a career. My dream job will be to work in a zoo someday, but it is hard to get into that field. I’m looking to volunteer at the very least; get my fix that way. You don’t make the best money in the veterinary field, but having few bills to worry about helps.
In the end, I think you should enjoy what you do. You’ll be doing it everyday for the majority of your life, after all.
I missed it… by a lot. lol I’d be interested in playing it. Hopefully the registration opens up again soon.

I only recently became aware of Windstones while searching for “copper patina” in google images. I saw one of the mother dragons in copper patina and went “What is that?!” and just had to investigate. I have now obtained a few dragons. I am 24 and intend to be collecting Windstones and dragons for a very long time.
The ability to win prizes through quests and raffles is amazing! If ever I win, I’d be grateful to receive anything! 🙂

I just found Windstone by accident while searching pictures of copper patina for a project I am working on. I have loved dragons since I was a teenager and was introduced to Anne McCaffrey, I’m now 24, and I am jumping in head first in acquiring some of these beauties. I’ve started collecting dragons as my mom does and I am looking forward to adding Windstone to the collection. As you can see, I can completely relate to your story! 🙂
March 30, 2014 at 2:10 am in reply to: Have you ever thought of doing a crouching young/baby dragon similar to the crouching griff chick? #910794I’ve only just come across these amazing dragons today and I am already addicted! The concept of dragons in more playful positions would be very cute!
