I reckon I’m the only one who thinks of the Christmas tree we put every year when I see him. All his pink, yellow and blue make me think of the string lights we use on it year after year.
Smells like pine!
I am so flipping frustrated right now, as apparently I can’t even get rid of this mess on ebay.
$800 shipped, the lot of it. Somebody just take it, I want it out of my hair. 😛
The usual solution for that problem is to pull *all* of the teeth. Every single one save for the canines.
I’m so sorry treatment didn’t work out for her. 🙁 Mouth pain is miserable pain and you did what was best. *hugs*
D’aw, thank you!
Still for sale. Make me an offer!
Now there’s a thought!
To keep preliminary track of broken pieces, maybe a ‘I received/have a broken piece’ thread, with a photo or two for each report, and the numbers in the first post updated by whoever began it on a daily/weekly basis?
Windstone might think about coming up with criteria about how broken the piece has to be before it can be repaired *and* repainted instead of just repaired?
I think the idea is a good thought, but for sure needs some hashing out.
Oh wow… I’m not sure how to approach putting my opinion on this mess into words without ruffling more feathers.
Suffice it to say, as an artist myself, I understand getting attached to my work, or wanting to make something broken and ugly pretty again but…
..what is so hard about ‘please don’t, here are these other sculpts, just for that!”?
I…really. No offense to any of you who like to do repaints, but – honestly? Please tell me what’s so hard about this? I’m confused! Why does it have to get nasty and tangled at all?
Heh, you can’t be any worse than I myself am at times, especially with Christmas coming up and me working in both retail and newspaper. I’m bound to have a few blow ups between now and January.
I’m rusti_knight, btw, and I just added you.
You can also post it to artists_beware on LJ and see if some of those folks might have some advice for you too. They’re usually pretty good with suggestions.
To be honest, if it’s 45 days past your original transaction with Paypal, you can’t even go to them to try and get whatever the tutorial and COAs were worth to you back. Sometimes making it public lights a fire under their butts, and if it doesn’t, well, at least you’ve prevented it happening to someone else?
(BTW, mind if I friend you on LJ?)
I’ll add my squeak for production. It isn’t as though I have any fundage right now, but I’d love to have one of these!
There’s Alertpay and Google Checkout (though Google isn’t much better, I’ve heard, and had, them randomly deny you access to your account, asking for things like a copy of a driver’s license). But of course, neither of which you can use with ebay.

But I think I’ll send something to John regarding the other two.
September 14, 2011 at 3:11 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #856456So you think it might be worth a heads up to John just in case?
September 14, 2011 at 2:10 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #856446I wasn’t thinking so much of the sculpt itself, but of the color schemes.
September 14, 2011 at 1:36 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #856441OK, so maybe it’s just be, but I would like to submit this to the court of public opinion:
http://www.merflemunchies.com/StoreSelection/Products/hatchling.html
I don’t know this person, but I’ve watched her on DA for a while, and I’ve noticed a little bit of a…shall we say, trend, with her painting schemes. Down at the bottom of that page, she has hatchling sculpts painted in what looks very similar to Rainbow, Emerald Peacock, Gold, and Silver (the last two of which I know Windstone doesn’t have the market cornered on, but all the same).
What do you guys think? Coinkydink?
