  • I vote for the starry night color pattern – I definately prefer fantasy colors but a natural blue roan would also be lovely.

in reply to: Am I the only weirdo who names my car? #918143

My first new car (1974) was a green Mazda truck named “Zonker” (from Doonesbury). Zonker died a horrible death when I rolled him sideways down a hill on a dirt road (with a grade >10 degrees) in Temecula, CA (high desert). The windows were up when we started to roll; during the roll(s) I noticed my dog was flying towards the shattering windshield and thought “That can’t be good”. I grabbed her and held her to my chest for the rest of the ride. When we finally settled (right side up, thank goodness), the windows all were gone, my truck was dead and my glasses (which I had been wearing) were in the bed of the truck….unbroken (The dog was traumatized but healthy)

My next truck, a brand new Silver Mazda truck, was named “Seth” ala the Pern novels and each vehicle I have gotten since has been Seth; his body has changed with age and his color has morphed from silver to light blue (Ford Ranger) to his current dark blue (Ford Explorer) but he’s still Seth… 🙂

in reply to: Awe 🙁 #917378

So sad! :(( I’ve followed Robin Williams since “Mork & Mindy” and have enjoyed all his many talents (drama to comedy). He has been fighting depression his whole life – its a shame he finally lost to it. When I heard “The Crazy Ones” was cancelled, I wondered how he would take it (I thought it was a good show and was very sorry to see it go).

Rest in Peace, Robin Williams, and thanks for all the joy you’ve given me.

in reply to: What are your squeaks? Tell Melody here!! #916873

I like the idea of a themed grab bag (I would get a kick out of Halloween themes!) but I would prefer not to go grab bag on sculpt type. I like the unicorns and poads the most for these kinds of grab bags because they have more “display” room for skelebrations; that sort of thing would get lost on the little dragons. Just my two cents…

I tried to goggle it but couldn’t find anything. What is a Lucky Inu?
