Hey now don’t be haters π after all….. “I’ve never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful. ~Author Unknown” ….and personally I think she looks like such a happy smiling poad π
You know for the most part I am a dragon only kinda gal….but I flippin can’t help myself I L.O.V.E. the Poad. I think it is the odd tiger stripe/pink combo that entices me so. When I first started collecting I didn’t even like the Poads and now I am starting to think that there isn’t anything cuter. You can just imagine how they move. Oddly enough I hate pink as a general rule like I would rather die then wear it…but I love my pink pearl lap and I love that poad!! π

A-HA!! IT WAS YOU!!!!!! :shout: I missed out on the first batch because of a finance hiccup, and my hubby was literally filling out the check-out info to get me one from the second round (with 2 left in stock)…. and when he did the final click to seal the deal, they were all gone! So I missed out *again* π₯
Well, I’m glad it went to someone else who’d been longing for their very first. When they’re back in stock again, I will at last be getting *my* first Keeper (and hubby got me a consolation griffin to practice on in the meantime) π Enjoy!
Awww, well that was sweet of him to get you a griffin. I think if I hadn’t snagged one of the keepers I would have probably done the same! It’s funny that we had nearly the same experience because I didn’t have money the first batch and then just came up with the money to get one from the second bunch. Good luck on your griffin πtwindragonsmum wrote:Thankies for the suggestion raincry – I was in the mood for a little lighter fare… *trots off to go do a lookie-upie* π

My pleasure π I actually might have to go read them again myself! You’ll have to tell me what ya think if you manage to track them down 8)Richard Bach is an amazing writer. I also really like his book Illusions: Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. While it sounds like a Christian fiction book of which I am not really a fan… it isn’t. It is very much perspective altering like most of his writing. It is also substantially shorter then his other books.
I’ve read many of the ones everyone has mentioned. So many great books out there. If anyone wants a great light hearted series I highly suggest The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede. There are four books Dealing With Dragons, Searching on Dragons, Calling On Dragons and Talking to Dragons. I read them probably in middle school, but I have read them since then and they are still great. I think they are considered young adult, but I am not sure. I read some heavy fantasy books, but many of them don’t have dragons (except Pern of course) and it is a nice trade up to read something light from my usual Terry Brooks and Robert Jordan series.
I too am a big fan of saving marshmellows for last in a bowl of lucky charms…but then I realized I almost always do that with anything that is sweet on a plate. If it is sweet I eat it last. I think it comes from the training of being a kid forced into eating food I hated so I learned to save the tastiest thing last so I could reward myself π I also eat all of one item at a time. I don’t eat a bite of this and a bite of that, I eat all of one thing first. Another weird habit that some of my friends laugh at me for is when I am eating I occasionally shake my hands off…even when I am eating with a fork. I don’t have any explanation for it except that as a kid I walked around with french bread in my hands munching away and it was always very crummy. Someone else mentioned dipping french fries in shakes. Love that especially in a chocolate shake! I also like honey in cold milk. So tasty. And odd as it sounds my dad turned my brother and me onto pickle and peanut butter sandwiches. Sounds gross I know, but it actually is pretty good.
What an amazzzing job! Wow just wow those tail feathers look so real! The colors are gorgeous! π
Wow That’s an oddity! Well so there is one left then for whomever is lucky enough to nab it. I am happy to have just nabbed one!
Whew! I just barely got one I think. There were two when I went to get mine and then when I finished my order there were none. I’m feelin’ lucky! It will be my first PYO I’m excited! π

No worries! Since the introduction to the rest of the dragon habitat. Rules were laid down. The pearl lap is very strict on no PDA and the fuzzy was polite enough to respect the rules and promptly adjusted to just near its object of adoration. XD

Oh I hear ya! π I wish I had all of them too. They are soo pretty and they always go so quickly. I really love this sculpt. I am glad you liked the pic 8)
Over the weekend I received my glacier curl beautiful as he is I was astounded to find an equally beautiful white fuzzy. I can only assume that they originate from the same glacial habitat from their similar coloring. Anyhow I begun to realize that despite my attempts to move my curl to his new habitat by introducing him to my pink pearl lap who in charge of welcoming newcomers…his fuzzy was sticking to his side…literally. Knowing love when I see it, I introduced them both to the rest of the dragon family. It became apparent that being from the same habitat and journeying so long together had created a case of true fuzzy love. π
I got my glacier curl! Whoot Whoot! So pretty!
I’m happy now my opoponax curl isn’t so lonely π
