I’m so happy! I got the little bay pinto that is on the right side of the store photo! He’s so cute in person! I will post pictures as soon as I can. (I wish I could do it now, but I have to get ready for work. Booo….) 😉
April 15, 2013 at 5:53 am in reply to: 4/9/2013 Natural Grab Bag Baby Unicorn Batch Photo Thread #896024I can’t get over how beautiful each and every one of these unicorns are! Although everyone has a different preference with unicorn color, my weakness is for the natural colored ones! Not only do I think that these unicorns look so realistic, but I think horses are just so naturally stunning -regardless of their color. So to have these unicorn sculptures painted like beautiful horses just makes my heart simply melt from adoration! 🙂

Wishing you a wonderful birthday, Melody!!! 😀
You’re not alone, Littleironhorse!
Although I think that these crazy colored unicorns are incredibly detailed and eye-catching, I too prefer the natural horse colors. I just adore how realistic they look! Horses come in a countless variety of colors -and they are all stunning in their own way. I think it’s brilliant to show off and celebrate the natural beauty of the horse by painting the unicorns this way! 🙂
Congratulations!!! 😀
Awww!!! I sincerely appreciate this!
Thank you so much, everyone!!! 😀January 9, 2013 at 2:14 am in reply to: 12/26/12 Batch of Grab Bag Young Poads picture thread! #891445Yellow Lorikeet!!! That’s probably what it is! (I was searching the internet for tropical bird photos to try and find one to match her! Out of all the birds I’ve seen so far, that species looks closest to it!) 🙂 Thank you!
January 9, 2013 at 1:05 am in reply to: 12/26/12 Batch of Grab Bag Young Poads picture thread! #891433Joliesdragons, I think it’s wonderful how you were able to “catch” this beautiful little Monarch Poad! It’s always a rare pleasure being able to have a Windstone that brings you back to a time in your life that is full of heartwarming memories and joy. 🙂 (A Windstone like that doesn’t come around often! They certainly make up some of the best treasures in life!)
January 9, 2013 at 12:28 am in reply to: 12/26/12 Batch of Grab Bag Young Poads picture thread! #891425Oh Puff! She looks like she just stepped out of the rainforest! She’s gorgeous.
Haha! I thought the SAME thing when I opened the box! I wonder if she was loosely based off of a specific bird or if Melody just let her imagine run wild when she painted her (-and the rest of the batch!) 😉
I can honestly say that this whole group of Poads simply amaze me. They all range from being beautiful, charming, elegant, stunning, and whimsical! Even the ones that I originally looked past in the group photo are leaving me shaking my head in embarrassment for ever doubting their unique charm.
I sincerely give my heart out to Melody and everyone at Windstone for everything they do! With all of their hard work, they sure know how to keep all of us delighted and amazed!
January 8, 2013 at 6:48 pm in reply to: 12/26/12 Batch of Grab Bag Young Poads picture thread! #891410I finally got mine today! My mouth dropped to the floor when I opened her box! She was one of those poor little poadies that got completely looked past in the class photo, but ended up becoming one of my favorites in the group! Her colors are so incredibly vibrant and beautiful! I couldn’t be any happier to have her! 🙂
(And here she is with her travel buddy –(my first) crazy colored Fancy Fuzzy!)
***Hannah, you are more than welcome to use these pictures for the GBP Directory!) 🙂
In New Jersey, my house and our cars survived the storm, and the most that happened was our tallest tree in the front yard snapped, fell, and took up the street. (We are so thankful that it didn’t fall on our house instead! From where it’s located in the yard, it would’ve hit our living room – which was where my family and pets were!) Unfortunately our neighbors weren’t so lucky. There are so many cars and horses that got destroyed from all the fallen trees, power lines, and telephone lines. I believe my entire town has lost power and we have road blocks everywhere because of them. The winds were so crazy, my brother and his neighbors that live two minutes away saw a grill fall from the sky and crash in between their yards! They don’t even know where it came from! It doesn’t belong to anyone on their street. And there were quite a number of fires -one being across the lake from my brother’s house. He felt horrible because there was nothing he could do but call the police. And our friends that live near the coast had to be evacuated because their homes are under water. 🙁 I can’t get over how bad this hurricane turned out to be! I am so thankful that my friends and family are at least safe. They said that everyone in our county should start getting our power back in about 7-10 days. And in the meantime, they’re already starting to clean up the streets, so I’m relieved that it’s only going to get better from here…
How about everyone else? Is everyone okay???
“Gone!”
