I loooooove seeing all of Melody’s sketches! I wish there was a section on the website (in either the Products or Staff Gallery) where we could more of her artwork! They’re all so beautiful!
I couldn’t agree more about the tie-dye dragons! They are so wild and vivid, I think they look absolutely amazing!
I hope that Brandi knows just how beautiful her Windstones are! From the very start, I was blown away by her talent! And she continues to amaze me every week!
Thank you so much for your responses, drag0n and scenceable! Since I first purchased him, I have always thought that there was something wrong with his eye. But it wasn’t until I purchased a second Spectral when I realized just how “off” his eye really was.
I too remember seeing a post about a similar problem a long time ago and tried to find it tonight, but had no luck. HOWEVER I did discover a different post about Spectral (and dicroic) eyes! Within the thread, Pam and Melody wrote…
Spectral eyes are marbles, so they would not work in regular dragons. But I wonder if the company that makes them could put the dichroic color on the back of a regular eye…?
Hey!Spectral eyes are NOT marbles. They are optically clear lead crystal globes that we have custom coated with dichroic backs. The dichro eyes WERE coated the same way, by the same company that does the globes for us.
We can’t use Spectral eyes in the other dragons. The Spectral eyes are globes, so they won’t fit in other dragons that don’t have the special deep eye sockets.Since Melody mentioned that they coated the globes with dichroic backs, I’m wondering if my Spectral’s eye was just put in a little crooked. I’ll definitely take your advice and send Melody a message to see if she thinks it’s possible (or even a good idea for that matter!) to try and get the eye loose to adjust it. If not, then it’s really okay. I’ll still love him -flaws and all!
At least he has one good eye! His non-display eye reflects light nicely no matter what angle you look at it!
(That eye looks much better than his poor boo-boo eye!)
Thank you again so much for responding to my post, drag0n and scenceable! It really means a lot to me! 😀
I can’t seem to edit and update my list from about a year ago, so I decided to make a new post! I think it’s funny that when I first started collecting in the summer of 2010, I had only planned on purchasing a couple of them because I was limited with money. BUT… that didn’t last long. They’re just so beautiful that I couldn’t help but to skip out on purchasing other things so I could afford these once in a while!

Oh, and you only get fuzzies with store orders, not ebay. Susie does the store area and Pam handles ebay last I knew and Susie is the one who makes the fuzzies <3
Thank you! 😀 And thanks for letting me know that ebay items don’t come with Fuzzies 🙂
??? Cassandra and drag0n, I think that it might be some sort of mistake! There IS a way to get Fuzzies with Ebay auctions! I’ve always received them whenever I won an auction. In fact, I just got the “Salmon” Emperor this week and he came with a funky-haired purple fuzzy!
(I wish that I had something to purchase tonight so I can properly guide you through it. But until then, I’ll just have to go by memory!)
***When you are looking at your purchase history on Ebay, click “Pay for Item”. That will bring up a page where you can review your order. On the right side of the page, you will see the costs. And on the left side, you will see the seller’s information. Directly below their information, there should the the option to “Add note to seller”. And that’s where you can write, “Love, Fuzzy!” 🙂It should work! I’ve done this a few times with Windstone Editions and have received a fuzzy each and every time! -But if for whatever reason it doesn’t and your Ebay Windstone shows up fuzzy-less, then it’s probably just an honest mistake!
?!?!?!? WOW!!! I can’t believe that the beautiful Salmon Emperor went for less than store price, yet the Salmon Rising Spectral is at $400! Well, whatever the reason may be, I am so fortunate (and surprised) to have won him! I love fish-inspired Windstones! 😀 I can’t wait to see him in person!
My mind is completely blown away from all of your photos! There are sooooooo many beautiful Windstones! It must have felt like complete heaven to meet everyone and to see everything that goes on in the factory! 😀
Congratulations, Pony-up! I think Carnival is one of the most beautiful unicorns from this batch! 😀 What a great catch!
Now for Blue Fuzzy’s last photos in New Jersey!
While I collect Windstones, my boyfriend collects knives. So he stole Blue Fuzzy away to take a picture of him with one of his newest knives…
And last but not least, the fuzzies wished to present Blue Fuzzy with a present! In honor of visiting a pet lover’s home, the Fuzzies presented Blue Fuzzy with a Scottish Terrier pin! He wears it proudly!
Thank you so much, Susie for letting all these Flat Fuzzies travel the world so he can visit us! It was so much fun going on adventures with him! 😀
Well, Blue Fuzzy and I have finally said our goodbyes! Luckily, I have a few more photos from his visit to share with everyone! First, he met all my pets!
Reny the retired racing greyhound
My Chinchillas, Tucker and Lone Starr
Tucker the white mosaic chinchilla
Lone Starr the ebony chinchilla
Shazam, the Striped Peacock Eel
And my newest little baby Fire Eel, “Chance”. (Who was so sick when I got him, but is now as healthy as can be!)
(Here is a better shot of him!)
~~~~~~
And then he came to work with me at Hallmark! He liked to snuggle around my neck.
(The Fuzzies helped us set up the ornament display. Apparently Fuzzies love Disney ornaments. After they did that section, they all went home for the day.)
Then after work, Blue Fuzzy and I went to go take care of a friend’s bulldogs, Tatum and Norah! They may look grumpy, but they’re actually really sweet!
I also work at a dog and cat boarding kennel, and I did bring Blue Fuzzy in with me! BUT we had 75 dogs, 7 cats, and there were only two employees when I went in. So… I wasn’t able to take any photos. Boooo!!!! But Blue Fuzzy did have fun seeing all the cute puppies and kitties!
And then, Blue Fuzzy and I went hiking! (I’ll post those photos in another post!)
Here are better photos of “Chamaleon”! I couldn’t be more thrilled with him! Melody (as always!) outdid herself painting him! 🙂
(Skeeterdeee, I’m sorry to say that at this moment, I had planned on keeping him since it was “love at first sight” the moment I saw his photo on Facebook… ***BUT if I ever change my mind, I promise I will let you know immediately!)
WOOHOO!!! I got mine today and it turned out to be one of my top favorites! His name is written as “Chamaleon” and boy o’ boy is he beautiful! 🙂
This is his Facebook photo (without eyes or horn).
I’ll take better pictures when I get home from work. (I took a break to go home just to see which one I got today! Haha…) Like all unicorns, he’s even more metallic and beautiful in person!
Setsunawolf, yours is so beautiful! I noticed Magpie in the class photo and was hoping to see her closeup photos! She’s really amazing! 🙂
*edit* Egg was adopted! 🙂
