‘La Catrina’
This little gal is my latest paint job. She’s my first Nine Tail Kitsune and she’s inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Traditionally the Kitsune is a creature of Japanese mythology, but anyone can take a vacation and join in the fun of another culture. The trickster Kitsune is no different!
She’s painted in acrylics and interference paint with a satin finish. Currently up for sale in the Classifieds.

MoonSpheres is an excellent seller. I’ve purchased from her several times now. And she has an excellent assortment of swarovski crystals. However, I don’t know the size of the crystal in the coiled dragon’s forehead. ^_^; I don’t own one so I can’t measure for you either. Maybe someone else can?

After spending so much time at the beach, I have to say it’s a wonderful reminder. 🙂 With her various shimmering blues she’s really refreshing. I hope she goes to a really loving home.

Might you consider painting some LP store dragons (fledgies) like this beautiful ki-rin, maybe around fall of this year? 😀 The colors are just amazing and I adore those green eyes. If I could get a dragon painted like this ki-rin, I would be in Windstone collector heaven.
This KiRin is drop dead drool-worthy. Whatever that means, she is it!

Imagine an Oriental painted like that, holding a red tigers-eye stone.
-drops from the mental image-
-gets back up- I’d LOVE to see any of the larger oriental sculpts (oriental, sun, moon) with that coloration. In either metallic OR normal colors. Or on the cougar sculpt. 😉

The following web page explains some of the mutant colors that can happen. That picture is of a real taxidermied animal. It’s color is either a RARE mutation OR it’s an example of an old faded black leopard taxidermy. Like when a pet black cat turns brown when it sits in the sun too much during summer! -laughs-

I think the felines are the ones I would want to collect multiples of. They’re a good size AND felines are my absolute favorite creatures in the world. Nothing beats ’em!
