I told the lady I’d hold off mentioning it… the Wicks and Sticks store is having a big sale this weekend starting today (so it runs Jan. 18 through 20). If you’re possibly interested in one of her pieces, it might be worth your while to call them. Let me put it this way, it emabled me to buy 3 dragons when she gave it to me early!
Even if you can’t buy immediately, she seemed really nice, and maybe she would extend the sale to you if you called now? Wouldn’t hurt to ask.😯 I REALLY like this guy. He’s an excellent companion to the old greens, it looks like! If I didn’t have an old green emp already (and had the funds, shouldn’t have bought those OWS and lap), I’d make a play for this one.
Will this color scheme be used on any Secret Keepers? (puppy dog eyes) Only please not for a while so I can get some money up! I like it loads better than the spring gold, from the pics.
Too bad this is one of the ‘special’ schemes- I’d like this as a production color, and replace my emerald pieces with it!I picked up a peacock lap when I got those OWs I’m trying to trade. Turns out the person I had in mind doesn’t want her, so I’ll take offers on her for a week. She doesn’t have her original box. She does have her hang tag, but it’s beat up. I’ll have to wash the dragon a little, but she looks fine. I’d like to get at least $175 for her.
(of course, if you want to work some kind of trade and have that peacock riser lol…)No one has a riser? 🙁 You could likely sell the OW for more than the riser would fetch even.

Since there doesn’t seem to be any interest in a trade, I’ll probably end up selling the unspoken-for one. I’ll wait until Sunday to decide for sure, in case someone who can’t come on during the week would like to trade. If not, though, I’ll start taking offers on it looks like the 1st one in the pictures. I’ll take offers up until the middle or end of the week next week (have to wait to Sunday to fix the details). The 1st one does NOT have its original box, but I do have my own OW’s box, and would be glad to use it as long as the box is returned.
Siberakh, I found a couple of the pieces you mention at a retailer up the road aways. Since they’ve had them so long, I imagine they may still at the end of the month. You may want to call the Wicks and Sticks I had in my ‘local finds’ post.
I didn’t think to ask about layaway, but you can call them and ask. The lady at Wicks and Sticks was super pleasant! Also, since they’ve had some of these pices for awhile, there’s a good chance they’d still be there in a week or so if someone needed to wait on money. Just call them!
I don’t know if these are the same rubies at Notions and Potions that they have had- I only go to the mall once every 2 or 3 months, and they do always have different things when I go. Since they have a sister store in St. Augustine, maybe they rotate stock between the stores.

Nope, they were never made in old green, but I’d be all over them if they were!
Mine is emerald, and is of course handsome, but some of the colors with more variation in a definate trim pattern (BG, red fire) seem to show up especially well on this pose.I’d be all over an old green lap also, which is just as impossible! Mine is emerald. I don’t think any one color has ‘jumped’ at me as much with this pose, so I guess it would be whichever color appeals most in general. (that forest one of Olympia’s was HOT, though!)
Edit for the OW sorry- I’m waiting with bated breath for the old green OW(s) Ms. Melody is supposed to make- please oh please not until after tax time! I’ll do most anything for one of those! In the meanwhile, mine is the empea prototype, and handsome that way. Peacock seems to be good to him also, along with red fire and black gold.
I just lucked out in finding a store with 2 peacock OWs, but unfortunately I’ve been unable to find the peacock Rising Spectral which is the 1 piece I’m seeking currently. I was able to get both, so I will offer 1 (your choice of which) in even exchange for a peacock rising spectral, in just as good shape, newer style paint (brighter, with little to no champagne).
If there are no takers, I will probably eBay one of them and use the money to buy the next riser that comes up. I believe the second one may have someone who wants it, but it will be for sale if they don’t.Come on, you know you want a peacock OW, you can replace that riser… 😉 😛

Pics aren’t wonderful for color
The older one was the display, and is a little dusty (I’ll clean him). He has the original outer box, but not the clamshell.
The newer one wsa never taken out of the box until now.Sorry! 😛 It wasn’t what I was looking for and I really can’t afford a riser, let alone any extras, but for $15… 😯 Guess it works sometimes to act disinterested!
What do they usually go for? I know there’s one on ebay right now, but it’s pretty pricey. I probably won’t end up keeping this; I was thinking of using it to sweeten the pot in an attempt to buy a peacock rising spectral off someone.

SOmeone I spoke to once told me that they’d been told by Windstone that they were too close to existing dealer(s), but I don’t see any on the dealer’s page or know of any closer than 20 miles + to that dealer. That can’t be right.

Merlin’s Vision in Deland FL no longer has Windstones.
Sci-Fi City in Orlando didn’t have anything but a logostone (which I bought for $15) and a claw card holder. They haven’t stocked them for a long time, but were open to ordering if there’s interest.
Avalon in Orlando- no answer.
Chandlery of Daytona- number is no longer in order.
Pagan Mart in New Smyrna Beach- apparently out of business as the number is now a private one.
A Lotta Scents in New Smyrna Beach, Wicks and Sticks in Daytona Beach, and Notions and Potions of Sanford and St. Augustine all stock them still.
I may try more tomorrow, plan on visiting some of the Daytona area ones.I guess since everyone else has added theirs, I should give mine. It’s March 7th (and I’m not telling what year, but it was a long time ago! 😛 )
