I saw that auction too! They definately had a picture of an Emperor. I remember thinking that it was a great deal and that there would be a couple of people on the forum that would love him. I even checked out the auction. You should still be able to link to the auction. I would file a complaint with Ebay.

I agree with everything RiDuvessa said here. I saw it too and yup, it was def an Emp and I was thinking what a great deal, hoping someone here would win it.

You have a completely legit case to file. I hear your concern for, “it’s my word against theirs,” but in this case, you have a number of eye witnesses to this auction, so to speak, and, the photo was of an Emperor. Given that last part alone, you received the incorrect item. Regardless of seller intention, that is enough for misrepresentation action. I mean how far does it have to go? You win a Windstone and they deliver you a pizza?

Im sure you want the Emperor but Im sure youd be happy with returning the Male and getting a full refund. My only concern with that is *if* the seller is shady, and you return the Male- will they then actually refund you. Express such concerns to PP. I know theyve told ppl before they wont help unless you have returned item first. Kind of puts you in an awkward position by waiting on a refund… again, *if* the seller is shady. But, this whole situation does stink to me. I wish you luck. You know everyone here, whether they saw the auction or not, will back you up. GB’s suggestion was spot on… the auction should be logged in your WIN section on ebay. Good luck!

in reply to: PUT YOUR "WISH LIST" IN HERE #596733

I dont want you guys to think that your updating and further info is not being recorded by me simply cause I dont answer/post after each time a member does. Rest assured that the Wish Lists are being kept very current (though I had to start from scratch when something happened to my original list which irked me!; but it’s current now).

Im very swamped with work at this time but I do have eyes and ears in various places that keep a line on Windstones- especially during holiday time. So, I am looking for you guys.

Thanks to those that have emailed me and asked me what my wish list is (always email me, rather than PM cause while I check in here, Im not always signed in and dont check those PMs. My email is in a tab below my post like many others). My abbreviated version of my list is:

Both the Large Wizard Cats in Siamese and B&W Peacock

BAT Winged Orange Blue winged Tabby flap cat (I was able to order the Bird wing but the bat wings were out)

Black & White Spotted Griffin family (Male especially; I have a NIB Mint Wolf Male for even trade if interested)

Striped Brown Female Griffin (and if any striped chicks come out)

New Kirin family (I HOPE IT’S THE BLACK FIRE COLOR!) :squeak:

Light Calico Flap Cat (yea, how I wish! I miss my real calico baby 🙁

Large Bird Winged B&W Flap Cat

ALL the LE/LP Small Flap Cats (except for the white w/ black spots)

ALL future CURLS after the Blue and Lav curls that were made (waiting on new ones now)

Coiled MAMAS (I only have BG Coiled mama)

    Happy Holidays!

Whatever you do, don’t give up, and don’t accept their time limits! Cancer has touched my life several times, and the docs always give you the worst possible. A very good family friend was told 6 months, that his cancer was too agressive, to get his affairs in order…that was two years ago, and he’s in remission. Just keep fighting and do what makes you happy! I’m thinking and hoping for you!

I cant echo these sentiments strongly enough. Do NOT accept time limits with regard to cancer(s)… I speak from experience.

And even though it’s been said over and over here, Im saying it also… DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO! Dont take this out of context, but you know the expression, ‘live each day like it’s your last?’ Cliché yes, but if ppl did do that, even just for a little while, theyd fulfill more of their dreams. Sometimes when that over whelming knowledge of your own mortality comes into focus, life changes immensely (for the good) for a time or forever.

If you have time, find a support group if they dont already have counseling for you. I know we learn that with Cancer specifically, meditation and state of mind is extremely important and can actually help you battle it off or to such life extensions with quality.

Having said this, you remain in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. Candle easily stays lit for you sweetie. Hang in there and keep ‘fresh eyes’ each day.

Many hugs and much love <3 xoxo

    LMAO!

in reply to: I'm so upset right now. *UPDATE* page 2 #740450

Youre going to alright sweetie. I know it, ya know? Youre just gonna be fine. Im willing to put money (I dont have) on the great hope and belief your body will return to normal once your cuteness is born. I just think that, especially with a first pregnancy, your body is going through SO much for the first time- everyday is a new day for it- that in a while after delivery, your body will begin to return to normal. I truly believe it and hope that Im right… cause you know us witchy bitches… we just HAVE to be right LOL 😆 😆

But regardless, you know that candle is lit and you continue to be in my thoughts, heart and prayers as usual since you announced you were pregnant! I’ll just amp it up some more and send you even more spiritual hugs! And… I support anything you choose to do regarding YOUR child, body and pregnancy. XOXOXOXOX

Well it’s official – he’s got a black bottom SO HE’S JADE 😆 . Thanks for the tip PT 😉

Yer welcs! But I always like to give credit where it’s due and it’s frustrating me that I cant remember exactly which forum member told me of this info. It could very well have been Emerald??? Em, was it you?

If not, someone here did give me that insider tip, so Im not the one who was the detective. Im just passing along the cool, helpful info 😉 Glad it’s the color you want and have some validation to back it up!

in reply to: Need help – ? Jade scratcher #739190

I have a jade scratcher too (and a jade coiled male like Emerald’s sig). Someone told me this trick or rule of thumb (for the most part) and Ive found it to be true for my cases of ‘whats this color?’ I think for the most part, that the paint on the bottom, around the felt, of the rare jade statues are painted black. Not so with the Emeralds. At least thats the case with mine and a number of other collectors Ive conferred with about this very topic in color variations of jade or emerald.

    Good catch and lucky! Grats!

Ddvm, Im so terribly sorry youre having to feel the way you do, and having to deal with the stress this medical situation is causing you, both physically and emotionally. I truly hope it’s not Cancer but that in turn, it is something they have either over looked somehow (even with so many tests, it’s amazing how much doctors can miss) and can cure quickly. Or, if it is something more serious, that they can address it quick enough to alleviate some of the literal and figurative pressure youre feeling.

My heart to you, my prayers to you, my love and hugs to you too. And I dont care that some judgmental ppl here have called me a phony behind my back for saying this, but it’s what I do… I am lighting a healing candle for you. It’s my way.

in reply to: Can someone help me to identify this feather? #736588

Just be very careful, if you know what I mean. Wouldnt want the law on your door step. 🙄

Nice find though, and congratulations. May it bring you and the land it was found on, much luck, peace and prosperity.

in reply to: Won't be here awhile-eye surgery for detached retina #736604

Good luck Khat. Youre in my thoughts, heart and prayers. Im sure all will turn out well.

My mom had eye surgery on her right eye a few months ago and because she just cant sit still, she didnt follow doctors post-op directions and screwed up her retina. Right now however (after a stern doc lecture to boot), she is recovering very well. And, shes way much older than you are!

I know youll be fine but Im sorry youre having to deal with any of this, regardless.

Warm fuzzies, lots of love and hugs xoxo

in reply to: IMOM photo contest #736522

Lam, you are much loved <3 <3 <3 xoxo

Oh, and dont forget, if you vote, you need the name AND number of the animal youre voting for. There is some space somewhere in either payment form (either PayPal notes section or IMOM server’s ‘purpose of vote’ section- or something like that). If you dont specify the animal/story youre voting for by name and number, your donation still counts but goes directly to IMOM and your vote wont count.

The best thing about this contest is that even if the animal(s) you know or voted for dont win, an animal organization somewhere will get 25% of the money and IMOM the rest. It’s win, win. And if you look at how much is raised already (voting ends Oct 22), do the math as to what 25% is, and some animal organization is going to get a well deserved boost.

Im happy for whomever it is even though at this point it’s so obvious I cant catch up with my votes for my Humane Society. Yup, my animals are in there 🙂

Starting an addiction in your school, tsk tsk. Youre supposed to keep addiction out of the school systems 😀 LOL

I had remembered this thread from previous reading and had been vigorously pursuing your request (without saying anything first in case I failed- which I did). But now seeing that your quest has been fulfilled, Im very pleased for you.

    But still… pushing Windstones… naughty naughty 😛 😆 j/k

in reply to: Selling curlies (pg. 7) #734120

Wow, Im sorry to hear of your accident, your pain and your bike’s condition. Though youre coping well, still wish it wasnt as bad, if it had to happen at all. Hope the careless driver is dealt with properly.

Your collection is beautiful and I hope that your situation with selling or retaining, works out in favor of your best wishes. Here’s to a speedy recovery for both you and restoration of your bike.

in reply to: WWYD if your friend did this to you? #733083

I thank everyone who has put forth their opinions and thoughts and stories regarding my topic. It seems to have been really helpful for Jenn to read about others similar trials. Sucks that it has to happen to anyone… especially when betrayal comes at the hand of someone you really trust but obviously misjudged. Oh yeah, did she ever learn. It’s said though that experiences like this just build a less trusting society where others look at others over skeptically even when deserved ppl are being true. Jerry and Jenn have many years so they will always be friends, no matter which way their lives go.

Thanks very much for all the emails too; and the stories (and support) within them. And youre right- I’ll always have to consider the source and try to remember the next time someone considers what I have to say, full of hot air and not worth discussing, as just a nasty opinion and not necessarily a personal attack. Yup, I hear ya! Judge not lest ye be judged.

Thanks again guys for all your sharing, advice and support. Some cool ppl still remain! See ya’s later 😀

    OMG the drama!

DM, I really do hope that things work out for you. It sucks to have a main job that depends so much on season. What also stinks is that while you may not be actively seeking Windstones at the moment, they are like any other addiction- very hard to give up. But Im sure that if you were in the position then (when anything of value was purchased), that you are now, that certainly your priorities of the house would come first.

Wish this wasnt happening to you and I hope that youre able to come away from this unscathed and without having to part with any of your lovelies. If it does come to that however, my sympathies. But IF things do happen for a reason, maybe it will open up for good things in the future.

I wish you all the best and though Im rarely around here anymore (like so many others), I hope you dont leave. I know how much you love (or once loved) it here. Im sure youd be missed. There are ppl here that I miss simply by choosing to stay away myself.
