Is there any chance there will be a Kirin release of the copper patina? I see the oos baby Kirin but am curious if there will be releases in the family, or maybe the intense patina on the babies? I love the purple interference (?) on them<3

Thank you, Etruscan. ^^ I’ve been through the special galleries, but know there are test paints that haven’t shown up in the Windstone galleries.

Just curious if there have been other space themed test paints because the black nebula has such a striking presence with the contrasting colors and what with advances in deep space imaging, there are certainly other space themes to be explored OR have explored. :>

Sounds like I should let this latest TP inspire my next PYO! XD

Black nebula is such a pretty test paint color- typical of my taste, I really love the Oriental dragons and Kirin…. The bookends are a sleeper sculpt that looks particularly good in this scheme, too. A lovely job by miss Gina.

Random- does anyone have record of other space themed test paints? I’m curious as to what else might be out there in the universe. <3

I love how unique the patterning looks on both sculpts. It reminds me of cuttlefish, or tropical frogs. 🙂

Much time, with no postings. I was feeling out some design elements for my first pyo griffin. While tinkering, I realized another project piece peering out of the clutter of the paint supplies. With the way the bug bit me, I’ve got a few WIP figures going at a time, rotating through them as I take breaks or need to wait for paint to dry. I’m sure other painters can relate!

I had to add some Extra to this, because I know that snerl is judging my not finishing it before starting MORE projects. Maybe both these feathered fellas will be finished round the same time?!

I’m not sure how to reach you for a quote, but I have a male kirin in need of some TLC. He’s been shared in a post I made about removing adhesive. No luck yet with ideas I haven’t tried, and so I think you might be the pro to replace my efforts.

(Sharing the pic here- biggest fix is the pictured leg and glue drops + some ill repaired scuffs)

If you’d DM me, I’d love to hear your thoughts/get an idea on cost. 🙂

A pic for posterity-
You can see some of the yellowed glue on the fellas tummy and all the exposed gypsum is covered in glue as well. Won’t budge with rubbing alcohol or stronger solvents. My next move is to try and use heat. :s

I think this was repainted with nail polish… it’s been a fighter to come off as well. Haaa

Wow! Violet flame is one of my favorite colors in the Windstone line and had no idea it was inspired by a happy(?) accident.

It’s also good to hear more about what can happen while using alcohol inks- particularly in use with windstone figures. I’d been debating taking anther shot using them to dye a base coat, but think I’ll resist. :’)
