I know they discourage selling repainted windstone pieces but I’ve heard nothing about them discouraging the selling of PYOs.
ahh… then I stored it wrong in my mind. Because thats the exact sentence I remember having read from her and I could have sworn it was in one of the PYO threads. So I was even silently wondering why PYo’s popped up on ebay. My mistake 😉
as for the fantasy market in Switzerland. Let me put it into a simple sentence:
The attitude towards fantasy here makes you want to kill people.
If you ever hear someone tell you you suck because you do fantasy stuff you will know what I mean. Thats not once I heard it.
In fact, I, for the sake of my grades, cannot say the word fantasy at my school (art school). Yes, I am right now living two lives. Because if ever a braintard tells me that my LINE (you know, the thing you put on paper with brush or pen), or the fact that I can paint and not do collage, is bad fantasy and not good I am afraid I will definitly lose my marbles.
The normal market (I made a Christmas market some years ago) is more in the direction of fairy cute gnoll things. The younger generation knows it better, the older one hasnt ever heard the word gryphon and is afraid of dragons. Yeah the cute cuddly dragon are ARGH OMG its gonna eat me. No i am not exagerating.
It is possible that LOTR and Eragon have finally made changes, but chances here are slim.good luck with em, Basilisk 🙂
Is that because maybe the older generations were chased by dragons for sport? You know like the Hungarian Horntail? Just a thought…If Dragons were still to be in this world, I’d think Switzerland is where they’d be…or Norway/Sweeden..=P
Greater Basilisk wrote:Okay. Except I see that Pliny is looking very sad all of sudden… Well, if I’ll need room for more PYOs, I’ll need room.
Pliny will be well taken care of if I get to addopt him, he can keep everyone company, especialy Jennifers dragon =P
Greater Basilisk wrote:Can’t imagine what Nirvana would have up her sleeve in regard to that. And even if she did, what would it have to do with my being safe until then?
Nirvana, one more hint? Please?everyone is rather safe untill then…..I will be like the Japanese coming into pearl harbor….. 😈
Actualy on a completely unrelated note, I had totaly forgotten that Pearl Harbor was the 7th of Dec 😯 (no wonder I barely passed history…)…..That fits quite well actualy….
In a good way

Ski, on the slight chance the stinkers ever end up on this side of the pond, we’ll team up and both whack them.
I wanna watch! (I’d join in, but I don’t want to deprive anyone one else of their fun! =P) Besides, I’d probably get stuck with the paperwork if I joined LoL
Paperwork? Man, Nirvana, for a decent “whacking” job forget the paperwork! On something like this there’s no brass to bother you with procedure and bureaucracy. And if those suckers are dumb enough to cross our paths here in Switzerland, nobody will bother with us using a few decent weapons, either. It’s all in defense, you know. 😈
Oh ya…. 🙄 Duh to me…
mimitrek wrote:skigod377 wrote:That would have to be a pretty huge cat to hurt a rock dragon!!
Unless they decide to use it as a scratching post… 😆
That’s why you should at least get the front paws declawed….Especialy if they are purely indoor cats…..and if they’re outdoor/indoor, they should be Completely indoor! *This is from the mouth of my mom, the Veterinarian, don’t shoot the messenger! LoL*
On a soapbox WAY off topic side note, I know people have different views about declawing, particularly if they are outdoor or partialy outdoor. Aka defense and such…I think that people should do what they think best in their situation, but, personaly, I belive that if at all possible, cats should be kept indoors and at least the front paws declawed.
*jumps off soap box*Greater Basilisk wrote:I wouldn’t want to copy any Windstone colors. I don’t do copies anyway – all purely original. 🙂
I’d have to sell the PYOs over ebay.com instead of ebay.ch – that’s what I asked Aky about. There’s really no market for fantasy here in Switzerland – or Europe. She’d know; she sells almost all her stuff to the States. As for shipping, a 3kg Priority Airmail box costs 55.- going from here to the U.S. Converted that makes about $40. I can’t help the price – I’m not trying to overcharge on shipping.
I think I’ll order a few more PYOs and put one up on ebay.com, just to see what happens. If it works out, I think I’ll cycle my PYOs – paint one and sell the last one I painted, freeing up space. So I’d only have a couple PYOs at a time, but always new colors.
Might even sell Pliny if I like Cerberus (next paint scheme with red eyes) better. Nirvana, if you’re till interested, he might be up for grabs soon.😯
😯 Those poor kids! And they were EATING it, if I remember correctly!

They know what I do, and my brother was inthe Army. He would know I have no buisness in Cali. Its unfortunate, but the rest of my family is smart. Hard to get anything past them…
Tell them that you have a special assignment at one of the bases out here….for “training” and then if they ask what new skill you learned, you just say that they flew you out here, then canked the program and flew you back! Easy!
You’ve done this before….

Dec 8th, the day of infamy….all I’m going to say…you’re safe untill then. 😈November 22, 2006 at 9:00 pm in reply to: Why you don't let your PYO Dragons in the kitchen….. #511078Nambroth wrote:Nirvanacat13 wrote:He is more purple this morning…..It seems that it gets more blue/purple with oxygen, kinda like reverse blood LoL it’s even more drastic with water, but it kinda washes off the pomegranite….
YEah, sounds like the pommegranite is oxidizing! Mmm pommegranate. So tasty!
He looks really neat by the way. Do you think he’ll be able to stay like that? Organic dyes, when used in fabrics, usually need a chemical reaction to ‘set’ them… I dunno what would happen on a gypsum sculpture like what you have!
No clue….I figgure if the pom doesn’t stay or turns a color, I’ll just acrylic over it….I’ll probably do that anyway? At least over some parts, I’m hoping that if the color stays long enough some of the permacrylic over coat will keep the color. I’ll try a patch on the bottom and see! =P
