Me, too! That’s exactly how I ended up with a Peacock Oriental — I had never even thought about buying an Oriental dragon, and I didn’t even like the Peacock color. Then one day I walked into the dealer’s shop to see if they had a White I needed … and there was the most beautiful Oriental dragon I’d ever seen. I bought him on the spot. 🙂
(Several years later, my Whites almost complete, I started looking around for more Pea Orientals, only to find out they were retired! So I had to hunt them down on Ebay over the span of a few years, but now Taishou, Showa and Heisei are happily united!)

I can’t afford LPs, at least not in terms of “whole family,” which is what I was seriously planning on doing if Silver is released! The LP things go too fast — I just *barely* squeaked under the line to get my White Warrior. Ninety percent of them would be forever-gone by the time I had the money, and being LP means that they’d be really hard to find afterward, too. No chance of completing the family for a reasonable price, and I don’t want a fraction of a family! 🙂
I’d either skip them entirely or only buy one, because I refuse to get invested (time, money, emotions) in something I can never achieve…

Oddly enough, I’ve been thinking about this too!
It would be especially nice to have a “mirror” of the Lap Dragon (gee, who didn’t see that coming?) 🙂
I like the idea of it not being “exactly” the same, too — I adore my dragon bookends because their poses are similar but complementary! They’re clearly part of a pair, but they’re not just replicas, they tell a story with the way their feet and heads are subtly different.
I’d love to see this with the Lap — after all, what does a sorceress get for the spoiled pet who has everything? Company! 🙂 I would totally keep the perfectly-coiled tail, though, because for that’s practically the definition of a Lap dragon (okay, along with the smug aura of “of COURSE I’m perfect!”).

And heh, I know exactly how you feel about the writing stuff down and then misplacing it. If all the notes-to-self I’d ever lost returned to me, I’d have an apartment filled floor to ceiling… I’d die of papercuts trying to get out, assuming I didn’t suffocated first. I am ALWAYS losing important notes! 🙂

Green might be nice just to make the Test Paint 8 more different…
Lavender would be nice, too, *if* it’s a nice bright lavender, but I’ve heard it’s more brownish? and I think that wouldn’t go so well with the colors in the Silver color Scheme.

I’m on the “they’re safe from me” list, too! Although I LOVE the Lap, the Brown doesn’t call to me (or if it is, I can’t hear it over the shrieking of Emerald), 🙂 and besides I just spent WAY more than I can afford on my Grail Windstone, so your Brown Laps are doubly safe!
