I’m eagerly waiting for the shorthaired flap cat, and also secretly hoping for a second griffin, perhaps in a ‘sphinx pose’ or a sitting pose.

Adding my voice to this – I would love to see a ‘juvenile griffin’ added to the family.
In lots of bird species, the previous year’s hatchlings actually hang around and help Mom & Dad raise the next clutch before taking off to do their own reproducing, so it makes sense, right?? 😀
We need a Big Bro/Big Sis griffin to help keep an eye on those chicks when the adults need a break. Maybe in a ‘pouncing’ pose, like she’s about to grab a straying baby or play-bowing to invite a game – or perhaps curled up and contemplating a nap after some strenuous babysitting duty, haha!
In a similar vein to this, I personally hope to see another griffin in their family in the future. You’ve got mama, papa, and the two chicks…but I’d love to see an angsty teenage fledgling. One could argue that the PYO kind of sort of fits that bit but it’ll never be done to match any production pieces (excepting commissions or painting it oneself) so I feel that that particular point is moot.
I agree with the above! I would love to see a ‘Young Griffin’ or even a ‘Young Pegasus’ like a Young Unicorn but with wings! Even a ‘Young Kirin’ would be awesome too! I have used the pyo kirins and griffins kind of like a young version of those creatures in my collection but we don’t have a pyo pegasus or a young sized one! Oh and I haven’t noticed shaky hands from tea and I don’t drink coffee but I get shaky hands from low blood pressure and low blood sugar. It comes and goes but can be a pain for painting!

I’ve been secretly (maybe not so secretly?) hoping for years that Copper Patina might become the new color for Windstone’s textured/stone-finish pieces like bookends and sconces – the texture and the ‘theme’ of them (sculpted objects, rather than ‘live animals’) seem really well-suited to it!
If I could afford to replace my bookends with CP versions right now, I’d be stalking that auction!

Sort of a “side-squeak” (I mostly squeak for sculptures!) but I was reminded recently that a long time ago there was a thread about other Windstone merch/’Snerl-on-stuff’ and I wanted to say that a sew-on/iron-on Snerl patch would be a DREAM COME TRUE for me! We’ve had Poad Patches, after all, so it surely must be possible…
I have a bag I take to conventions and it’s covered in patches from the various SF/F things I love, so having a Windstone-logo patch would be just amazing and really be a special addition! My love of Windstones predates almost all of the things on that bag, so it would be just perfect to have one of my oldest fascinations represented.
I’m thinking it should look like the bottom of a Windstone – heather-grey like the felt, with Snerl in black and the ‘Windstone Editions’ text beneath him – though a little larger. Maybe an oval shape?

Hahaha, whoops! I meant jmoore, whose adorable kirins are a few posts before mine! Having just replied to you about the Laps, I guess my brain slipped gears and forgot I was writing a different comment; or maybe seeing your name right *below* the kirins threw me off. How embarrassing, though at least I’m not the first one to make that mistake, so I feel a little better.

Seconding etruscan on this – I like the Gothic Uni a lot, so I’ve paid attention to new releases on the sculpt; I don’t recall any with non-gold horns ever coming down the turnpike. (Alas.)

They’re pretty but I’m not crazy about the Grey Fox sculpt, so I’ll be sitting these out.

(I can’t even pinpoint why, but I absolutely adore the Sitting Red Fox but am not drawn to the Sitting Grey Fox at all. My wallet is grateful that it’s Gray Foxes this time, even if my heart is less than pleased!)
