so umm are there any scetches of the little flion family, other than the print(which I want one of, but will have to wait until after christmas) and can we see pics of the other colors?
We are leaving for Oregon today, so no time… but I will post drawings, if I can find any, when I get home after Thanksgiving.
I’ll think about posting the colored Flions.I’m not sure I want anyone to see them. The white ones look cute, but have really stupid expressions.(I am posting this message in several places here because we haven’t really got a good way to post “Announcements” so everybody sees them.)
I have noticed that several of you guys are buying BIN things for each other on Ebay.
This is a big problem for us, if you want us to ship to seperate addresses because we cannot easily send seperate invoices for splitting an order.
Shipping to seperate addresses is a major pain in the butt for Karen.
Karen needs to figure shipping and tax separately for each part of an order…and she just hasn’t got the time to do that.We need to keep this simple!
It’s fine to buy stuff for each other,if you guys can repack and ship it to each other, but we need to ship everything together from one order to one address only.
Keep Karen’s back from breaking.I have noticed that several of you guys are buying BIN things for each other on Ebay (or now, in the Windstone Store).

random question. do you have pet fish?
it looks like some of your work has been partly betta or goldfish inspired. I used to have all kinds of fish when I was a teenager. I had thirty aquairiums in my room! So I do have fish in my head.
Right now we are the proud owners of one carnival goldfish named Foil Face, and about a zillion guppys.
..And Vantid’s Betta lives on the kitchen table.Arlla wrote:Melody wrote:ruffian wrote:Have you ever considered a Flion family, you know like in the drawing you did? 😉
Oh yes…never got to it though.
I have painted samples of the Flion in black and one in white. They look awful. I realised that the old molds had shrunk; this causes the castings to come out a little weird and deformed. That, on top of the original having been slightly off, and now I think the whole sculpture really needs re-doing. That project got got put on hold.
I am trying to find a new way to paint them to issue another special edition, but so far they only look good lion-colored, like the old one. Maybe, with copper wings or something?
I have another Flion sculpture that I have been working on occasionally. Maybe I’ll finish that one. It is another male though, not a FLioness.I would just like to say that what looks awful to YOU doesn’t necessarily look awful to your CUSTOMERS…I think this has come up before… ^_^ Though, I suppose if you’re not happy with it, it would be a sad, sad windstone. Unloved by mommy. 🙁
Is that other male flion the lion kirin?? Or a different one? It is a different one.Pyo wolves may be on ebay tomorrow!
I put these alerts in the “Announcement” thing, but nobody reads that.ruffian wrote:Have you ever considered a Flion family, you know like in the drawing you did? 😉

I’m sure everyone’s sick of hearing about my Emperor dragon delimmas, BUT, I’m still trying to fix the poor guy, and nothing Ive tried has worked. I tried super glue, but it expands ever so slightly, and its not strong enough, even with a day to cure. A friend suggested “Lock-tite extreme:repair” glue, because it doesn’t expand. It works great for smaller things, but not an Emp.’s tail. Also not strong enough. I’m worried about other things (like Gorilla Glue) expanding or yellowing, or drying so fast that I can’t get the pieces together correctly before the glue sets.
I was thinking maybe something industrial strength from a hardware store, but I dont know. Any suggestions?
I prefer normal Elmer’s white glue. (Not “craft” glue.) However, if you have already tried other glues, the break may be too dirty to glue perfectly unless you can get all the old glue off. The trick is to put very thin coats of white glue on both surfaces of the the clean break and press them together tightly until they set. This is tough with a tail, but maybe you can hold it in place tightly for a few minutes. An advantage of using white glue is that you can adjust it a little after you have put the pieces together to get the break perfectly aligned. Also, the excess can be wiped off with a damp paper towel. The glue bond will remain soluable in water, however, so no more rinsing the dragon in the sink.
I’ve also used epoxy. It will work too, but I think the joint tends to be a little wider and more visible. The excess that will be squeezed out when you press the joint together is more difficult to wipe off cleanly, (Especially if you are holding the tail together with both hands! Have a helper!) It will be waterproof though.Epoxy may be the best way to fix a joint that is not perfectly clean.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

I call them MP’s.
What does MP stand for?
Em. Pea.
Purpeen? Greeple?
