If it’s given a new name, why not a new eye color as well (like GREEN or a shade of purple). Then there wouldn’t be any confusion as to which Black Violet Emerald Peacock dragon it is. There aren’t enough green eyed dragons IMO.
Excellent idea!!! Green eyes would look especially dashing! Ohhhhhh I didn’t think I could get EVEN MORE excited about these dragons!!!
If it’s internet distractions you’re hunting for, I like randomly picking up new anime series on either YourTube or gogoanime. Also go play free rice (i think it’s just http://www.freerice.com). It’s a vocab game that donates food for correct answers. It starts out so easy and moves on to the obsolete and bizarre, fun stuff!
When will this beauty be in the store ?
^ This! When when when when?
Also, is it only the OW or are there others in the works?
Mmmmm so pretty, can’t frickin’ wait!
I do not know, but you ever watch that Pawn Stars show? Everytime I see it, I keep wondering if they have any Windstones tucked away in the store somewhere… You should call them and ask, and any of the bigger pawn stores too. You might get lucky 🙂
Sorry about your ruby lap dragon, and I can totally understand missing that damage during a quickie craigslist sale/scam. I bought four emerald dragons from a lady who sounded so nice and even acted kind of awesome; we talked shop before and after the transaction. The emerald I REALLY REALLY wanted, the sitting spectral, had a sloppy repair in the back of the neck and wings where they connect, which of course I didn’t see until I got him home and got the layers of dust off him! I didn’t notice because I didn’t handle them. She took them out of the trunk of her car and showed me real quick visible damage spots, mostly small chips. Also, I so as icked out with all the dust that I was thinking it would be my biggest challenge /sigh. Lesson I learned from craigslist: hold the dragons, touch the dragons, give the dragons a fricking proctology examine if they’ll let you!
Very nice  I’ve always like the other black dragon variations more than black gold. Is there a rough eta on these guys?
January 4, 2012 at 6:26 am in reply to: just me being nosy, but curious if anyone knows this person's issue… #868115Did her auctions say anything about Windstone, other than that single word? I never looked at them. I assumed she was saying something like, “I also am a member of the Windstone forum” or something like that. Guess I was wrong O.O
She uses “Windstone” to keyword spam so people looking for real art will find her junk in the same search. It’s irritating and supposedly against ebay rules.
January 4, 2012 at 5:14 am in reply to: just me being nosy, but curious if anyone knows this person's issue… #868104she says on the profile the name change is because of “the years of cr p gifts I received of paint by number plaster horses and dragons a la 1972 that they call collectable art. I’d like reimbursed for the hundreds of $ and life experience I could have had instead.” So yeah, since of what her ebay name now is, I took that to mean Windstones, and I was tickled pink by her bashing the quality of Windstones and her pieces are like something stuck on the side of the kiln in a middle school art class.
WOOT WTG!
Very ready for another quest! A friend let me take over his beta version of Diablo 3, and I beat it in like an hour, so I totally need more quests!!!
Just splurged on the ARC of A Perfect Blood…couldn’t help it, I know the authors get screwed when ARCs are sold, but hot damn I will be across country when the new one comes out and probably unable to get it day of the release. This way I can already have the book read, enjoy my vacation and crazy fun anime convention, and get the complete and corrected work a few days after with no rush (since I’ll already know what happens!). I got the fast shipping, but ooooo can’t wait!!!
I just tried a new urban fantasy writer/series and almost puked my guts out. It can be such an interesting genre, but there is so much cliche crap out there it makes the masters really shine. So yeah, I need Kim’s new work NOW! But then again, it’s three more days to try and get through some of the books I’ve chucked aside earlier in the year. I really do like Umberto Eco, but Name of the Rose is KILLING ME! I think it’s because I’m trying to un-rust my Latin and do the translations myself….ahhhhhhh.
I got mine today! 🙂 Thanks so much, it’s just beautiful!
Finally this is closed. I got my paypal payment refunded. I’m just going to pretend this fiasco didn’t happen. Then she asked if I wanted the young green for the price she sold the hatcher for, $75. Needless to say, really, but I am going to decline =P
I think brown and white are too long gone to find from dealers unless you have a time machine. I started collecting again in February, and in all my hunting this year I’ve found ONE rf dragon from a dealer, and this was like 300 miles away from my home and I only found it because I was on vacation. I’ve had better luck with consignment stores, second hand stores, and antique stores. I leave my name with the antique dealers, tell them what I am looking for and such. I’ve never gotten a call back yet, but I am hopeful if some shiny dragon comes their way I’ll hear about it. I’ve been meaning to check out some of the local pawn shops in my neck of the woods in CA, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
The best place I’ve found to buy retired dragons is this forum
I got my black glitter wolf this morning! She’s so lovely, she’s sitting on my desk now and hopefully will encourage me to go back work on the book her twin is in. Thank you all for awesome-happy-fun time quests with pretty pretty prizes!
