BUMP….I am accepting all offers on the pieces I have listed here…. 🙁 I just found out that my hubby is loosing his job as of the new year, his company is closing down and I also may in fact be listing more pieces up for sale soon!
Damn I wish we had our bills cleared up so I could Do double duty help you & myself to those Pegasi, & maybe a few more.
If we’re on top enough May be able to do so if anybody’s still left after Christmas/New Years….Pam Thompson wrote:Melody wrote:Ok, I just found out some bad news about the bat wing flapcats.. nobody can find the “tooling” to make more molds for them. So we won’t be casting any more little bat cats until they turn up.
The epoxy masters are in container 901.
The silicone tooling is in crate 40.
The production carriers are in crate 42 and container 901.
The master carrier is in crate 26.Crate 26 was unpacked, crate 40 and 42 may still be unopened.. and isn’t container 901 still sitting out in the parking lot? It has a lot of things in it you guys keep looking for, but no one seems to have bothered to actually open it up and unpack it yet.
Also, why is it called container 901? We only had 2 or 3 containers.
And tell Jordan if he wand a sample of 505-BG, it was in crate 177 which was unpacked, so it must be out in the shop somewhere.
😀 😆 😀 😆
Can I use you next time I move in about 3-5 years?
You can start the unpacking & repacking now if you want!
Then I can find the stuff I’d like out in the interim out. 😉foxfeather wrote:Thank you for posting the Recipe 😀 . I can’t wait to try it. I mentioned it to my brother and now he’s whining that he wants to try it too, but can’t cause he’s allergic to chocolate. I may have to try it with a vanilla base  .
Generally Gingerbread is made with molasses, but I’ve heard of a couple of recipes that use honey instead. The Gingerbread is softer (and stays that way longer), lighter in color and a bit sweeter than the traditional.
So it’s going to suck for Gingerbread house making I bet. Well I’ll see. 😀
I was planning on making the Gingerbread cookies the weekend, Got all the ingredients on Friday Night.
Then got laid low real hard by a Stomach Flu.
Including a 102F-104F+ Fever.
Maybe tomorrow night. I’m still feeling pretty craptastic right now.Yeral wrote:As far as actual cake recipes, I don’t seem to have any in my recipe book >< I'm pretty good at spotting good ones though, what kinds of cakes would you like to test your decorating skills on, Lupin?
Yay Recipe!! 😀 😀 😀
Pretty much anything but Carrot Cake & Cheese Cakes, the 2 types I Don’t like! I”m hoping to find a Cinnamon/spice cake recipe like I grew up with some time, & My Mom’s Choc Cake made with Mayo, she hasn’t seen the recipe in nearly 3 decades(may be more, since she can’t remember making it since I’ve been born.).
I figure start with Shaped Pan cakes & then start Slab Carving after a while, & bit of Confidence in my Icing styles, & Techniques.
Maybe the weekend, I’m planning on trying to make my first bit of Gingerbread(that I can remember & that’s solo on my part).
We go to my Uncles Christmas Eve party, & I want to bring a Gingerbread house with us this year, or a “Cake House” we found a Cake Pan that’s shaped like a house we thought would be fun to do(especially in that cinnamon/Spice cake, I think it’s also a Pound cake type)!
I used to think that Gingerbread used Molasses, but the recipe I have uses Honey, so I’ll see how that works out!foxfeather wrote:I was addicted to ketchup chips when I was young. Still like them from time to time.
Biggest discovery at the grocery store a while ago…Ketchup flavored rice cakes!!! Woohoo!!! XD XD XDThings I miss from England… Ginger beer, Irnbru, cadbury flake and fruit pastilles :yum:
I don’t miss Vegimite or Marmite :puke:There’s a couple of Stores here that sell ’em. But they do ask a Premium for the most part. They may have the Irnbru, & Fruit Pastilles, but I can’t say for sure. My Mom was easily swayed when she saw those to not ask the price & ignore the Sticker Shock at the Till!! 😮 😮 (she has sticker shock & can’t believe the price of rents here in Alberta, after 2 years she still thinks that there’s got to be better-bigger places for less $$ available.)

I Think I may have to do that with a few of my Uni’s when I get ’em out of storage!! (Figure out what box first & then figure out where to put ’em, then pull em out) They’re packed up in my basement lost among Books & Antiquities that have been waiting for us to have a place for the last few years since my Mom brought ’em out from Labrador!!
I’m looking for the Cake recipes & If they’d work for “Full Sized” Cakes?
I’m planning on starting to try & make some of them thar “Fancy Cakes” for Fun, but I need Recipes to try! 😀
Hoping not to ever make it on to Cake Wrecks by my own admissions(unless it’s an “Homage to Wrecks”), but thankfully for that you have to be a “Professional”.Dragon87 wrote:Got a discount on my new tires (to the total of about 20%) because of where I work!
Heck yeah! 😀
OH yeah, because they keep us over a barrel up here!! :negative:
We’re babying along a tire that we’re pretty sure needs to be completely replaced. Which means at least 2 new ones for our Van!!Ruffian & Dragon, even I remember how much more snow we used to get in Alberta!! (Lived her late ’80’s) but if you really want snow that’s been cut down you should have seen the difference in snow 20 years ago & 40 years ago when I & my Mom was a kid in Labrador!! Seriously the sledding hill (& Some used it for skiing too) was down our roof, across our yard & down the street!!
By the time I was a kid it never fully covered our windows, & by the time I moved away 10 years ago it was barely ever making it up to the bottoms of them!!
Oh & the cold rarely ever put in as hard & strong an appearance. As in Enough “Cold Days” That they were adding days on at the end of the year into Summer, Vs dropping the temperature at which the kids got out of school.I just Adore that Cuttlefish patterning!!
On the Poad , & yes now on the Mother Uni.
I also like that “Wood Grain” that’s on the Poad up right now.ruffian wrote:*snicker, Edmonton Northern Alberta, LOL.
Well they do classify everything north of ohh I think Red Deer as Northern Alberta. 😀
I’m just pissed that I moved from Labrador to escape this weather(Which is why there’s no chance in Hell of getting me to Fort Mac!!) & it’s here harassing me!!
I don’t care if it’s just the odd week or 2 that this is the “Extreme Cold” in the winter & not the “Winter Heat Wave” I still Fecking hate it!!If you really like cold & Snow Go to Labrador. Thank you I’ll only visit once in a while for the Dog Sledding & Maybe skidooing.

Dragon87 wrote:And no, Lupin, I prefer a gradual change. That sudden drop we had last(?) week was awful! My joints hurt, my finger hurt (I had surgery on the tendon when someone cut it, and major temp changes bothers it), I felt old. 😆 But I still like the snow. Brings back memories of tunneling in snowdrifts! 😀 [/color]
Too bad the snowsuits are so expensive now hunh?
& I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels real old come the cold!!JellyFish- my Male, son, & I might be persuaded to come help you out some weekends. 😉 especially since I know my Boy’s are willing to go & help out another friend with a “Farm/Ranch” about an hour or more away from the city. We’d probably have to bring my Mom since our Daughter is still to Tiny to actually help in more of a way than be a distraction for oh at least another 10 months. 😀
Dragon87 wrote:Wheeheeheee we have snow! Which is the very reason I love and hate Alberta. It’s cold as heck, but the snow is pretty and oh so much fun! And I hate the heat more then I hate cold (only so many layers you can remove without getting arrested, but you can always put on another layer).
That and it’s gorgeous country in Northern Alberta. I miss seeing stars at night though. If Colin (the fiancee) gets a permanent contract in Cold Lake, I will move up there no problem. City life just isn’t for me. I need to see the stars, and I need the night to be dark. Nothing more peaceful then a walk at midnight in the middle of December, where it’s just you, the trees, the animals (if there are any), the crunch of snow under your boots, and the stars.
Want to know what we found absolutely Amazing!
You get the stars back out here in St. Albert!! 😮
Seriously. I’m so close to Edmonton I can’t tell where they become one or the other (I think it’s the other side of our Fence) & it’s sooooooooo Much darker & the stars are sooooooooooo much brighter. So do you also like that drastic temperature change?
That so does not make me happy!!
I’m not enjoying the cold anymore, I’ve definitely become a “Winter Wuss”, so much for coming from the Subarctic Mountain range. I keep thinking if it wasn’t for the Anti-Ferret & Earthquakes Cali appeals to me, & even then it’s more the Earthquakes. As in they keep speculating that any one is going to take the entire State into the ocean. Wonder how that would affect the Climate of the states that are currently not right on the coast? Yeah the weirdest things cross my mind. -
