I think you should put it in the “Ask Melody” section. We know that Melody, and other painters, sometimes painted one-off items as gifts or for themselves, and some test paints too that may have been given away before the ebay era. So I’d say it is a possibility that it came from someone at the factory…
Whatever the case may be, I like the egg!

Edit: I ended up not liking the dragons as much as the eggs so I traded them away…
i’m eager for the coppers too….i really wonder what’s going to appear tonight lol. is he going to let us finish all nice and easy, or is he going to throw something complicated like the coppers our way? Lol!
Soooo, how do you like the adult coppers? I’m undecided yet. They don’t look all that metallic to me, compared to all of the other metals.
I do love the hellhorses however!
No, it was definitely an old green. When I bought my emperor (and mother and male) green and brown were the only colors in the store. This was a LONG time ago – maybe I am just remembering it wrong (my emperor disappeared from his shelf after I became limited to the ground floor of my house-either my old housekeeper broke it and didn’t tell me or a roommate that I later found out was a thief and meth addict stole it. Both deny everything) Thanks for the information – I must be wrong
Not necessarily, there’s a lot of color variation within a color scheme. I’ve seen a few green emps on ebay with a lot less purple interference than this one.
I’m anxiously awaiting the adult “coppers”. I really fell in love with the eggs, it would be so disappointing if the adults don’t live up to the promise.
And I’m also curious to see the hellhorses. I don’t collect the “breedable only” because they can’t be used in bloodlines, but they have potential.
Day’s 3 dragons are sadly just like the cavern lurkers for me…I much prefer the hatchlings over the adults =/
Ghost, I can try and breed you eggs after all the madness if you like…i can get you 2nd gens =) not as good as CBs i know, but at least it’d let you get all the coppers and things to breed with
I’m the opposite, I much prefer the adults over the hatchlings, which looked like ladybugs to me, cute but not very dragonish (is that a word?).
There was never any doubt from those who know you that you had anything to do with this scam.
But just in case, like Scathach said, some who have never dealt with you are wondering, let me tell you this about Bodine: I once bought a fledgling from her that got lost in the mail on its way to me. So Bodine promptly bought one from the store and had it sent to my address. Fortunately, the original one eventually made its way back to her, but she did end up loosing money in this deal. But she never hesitated.

I’m sure no one in this thread is saying that Bodine has anything to do with this scam artist. I certainly did not mean anything of the sort. This guy just got some of her work, possibly off ebay, and is weaving his lies around them.
…ANYWAY got the guy ON TAPE telling me a PYO phoenix he has was painted by “M.Ward” the “lead painter” at Windstone Editions… He also had a Keeper I couldn’t get a good look at but honestly it looked a LOT like a Keeper painted by Bodine….
Actually, I think that “M. Ward” IS Bodine. If so, she’ll be happy to hear of her new position no doubt!
