It says 29 days left. What an odd number! Is it already starting a countdown just by making a preview available?

I don’t know, Bodine. I got mine off eBay, with no explanation of its history.

If anyone is hoping to fill gaps in collections – these ebay listings from badabobtcb are a mixture of production and LP pieces. Still shipping to United States only and no combined shipping. The auctions end on Sunday, February 23.

February 12, 2020 at 6:55 am in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1603650Melody, will the sitting oriental dragons be painted in more production colours sometime soon? I would like to be able to buy a pastel rainbow or rainbow one in the future.
Seconding this question; I’d love to have one in Peacock to match my Oriental family!
I am making an effort to paint these individual ones differently from production or limited production colors. We’ll do them in production colors also.
We’re getting another sitting ori grab bag??

Melody, what was it called? I didn’t know how to make a good title for this post, so people wouldn’t think it was one of the more commonly seen wizards for sale.

February 6, 2020 at 5:26 am in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1602658I like the blue dots on the dragons, as it helps draw my eye away from the blue eyes, but perhaps an orange eye would be more harmonious for the creatures without extra blue.

It can’t be that huge. I have seen other online webcomics do plushies of their own characters that were not nearly as cute. Like, who wants a plush large intestine?? Can’t be more than anyone who would want a plush fluffy white kirin. There must be a place to do it.

(Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1601517I would not like to be badgered if I never say anything about wanting to trade my piece, and yet it happened whenever I posted pics of my bean Poads. So, no, please do not do public claiming of pieces.

January 27, 2020 at 5:52 pm in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1601377Perhaps there can be a swap out period at the very end. Like the last week before shipping.
What’s left can be put up in grids like Susie did on the last KS and people can choose to swap at that point instead of it being an ongoing thing throughout the entire process. And perhaps limit the amount of swaps through Susie to 1 or 2 swaps per person. The problem with letting people un-claim dragons and have a free for all swap is that it would cause a cascading swap effect.
For example, a bright pink dragon is un-claimed and someone else grabs it and un-claims the less-bright-pink one they had settled for -and then the next person wants to swap their blue one for the less-bight-pink one that just became available, and so on. It could be a real mess, but reciprocal trades between people might be possible to accommodate.
I am still thinking this through.I would not unsnap a bright pink one. Just saying! 😀

January 25, 2020 at 5:48 am in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1600997Wow! They look amazing! I am anxious for these nameless dragons!
I just wanted to add something about people changing their minds about their choice and swapping them for different dragons half way through selection. A part of me is like ya, let them, within reason. 80% of me says no because let’s say person A picks dragon 32…. 5 other people want dragon 32 so they pick the next best thing…half way through selection, person A releases dragon 32 and picks something else…those 5 other people are no longer watching and their top choice just became available. If I were one of those 5 people and found out later that my favourite one became available after the fact, I know i would be really disappointed. I feel like it’s allowing person A to “reserve them until something better comes along” that way they can pick a whole bunch with no intention of keeping all of them, and it just ensures that they get the best of the best without committing. Does that make sense to anyone? I remember this happening with the Poads, and I didnt agreee with it then either. Unless im not understanding how this one will run, if different than the first. Kidstarter is kinda foreign to me. The Poads were my first experience with ks.
I also agree the selection order should be by message and not by backer number.
Exactly. Letting people change their minds is unfair to everyone else involved.

January 23, 2020 at 6:22 am in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1600450It would be interesting if one of the reward tiers was for a Kickstarter-exclusive color scheme that will not be available any other way. So if people were anxious about getting to pick a certain color, they could be assured of getting this color… Well, if they liked it. Maybe similar to the twilight gemstone eBay series, but a little different, white instead of black?
