Anyone ever hear the saying, “What you are doing on NYE, you will be doing the rest of the year”? That means working for me – big surprise. 🙄 Happy, Healthy and Safe New Years to All!

Oh, I didn’t know there was supposed to be a crystal ball. Maybe I’ll ask Melody if I could buy one. Is it supposed to go where the plate is?
It goes on the right front corner of the table. I saw on the other thread that Melody has one for you – that’s good news. 😀
Wizard’s Retreat is one of favorite pieces. It looks wonderful when lit – it really looks like there is a fireplace burning in a room to the right. Do you have the crystal ball that belongs on the table? If not, maybe Melody has some left or there’s always eBay.

I have to agree with what Ski said. I think it’s easier for most people to say, “I would spend $125 on that finished griffin” rather than “paint me a griffin that’s worth $125”. My honest advice to the artists is to sell painted pyos instead of commissioning the work, unless they are dealing with people that can appreciate the time and effort that will be put into their piece. I am an oddball – I like saying to an artist, “I have X amount to spend. Create something for me in that price range”. Or, “This is my idea, do it and let me know what it costs”. The people that haggled with Water should be ashamed of themselves! I hope they are lurkers and read this. $30 plus shipping for the pyo, plus the materials to paint it, then the time and effort to paint it, then the cost of shipping it to the recipient. Add it up. Most people would be unhappy with minimum wage – are the artists any different? If you want a $20 paint job on a pyo, do it yourself! 🙄 Sorry, I know I’m ranting, but this issue really gets to me and I’m not even an artist.

Yup, it’s awesome!! I haven’t seen the colored version to compare, but the neutral colors look great and fit in anywhere.

Thanks! I’ve got the sculpture in my bedroom…its HUGE and the stupid box burned up in the fire. I have no idea if its gonna survive shipping when I move 😕 . I think its quite romantic…*Siiigh* I think I need to go read a racy novel 😉
The sculpture must be awesome, indeed! Maybe when you move, you can find a place that does professional packing? lol @ the racy novel. Are your bf and VS order due to arrive soon? 😉
