But preorder would tell them how many they need and it wouldn’t crash the store. Of course it might make more work for Susie because she’d have to send out invoices. I wonder if there is a way to add a preorder button that would automatically generate the invoices when they put them in the store. That way some could go in the store in addition to the preordered ones.
I like this idea–it would be like reserving one for yourself. As far as invoicing goes, maybe they could set it up that an invoice automatically is generated and when the Poads hit the store, the preorders would have a certain amount of time to pay for their order, like 24 hours. If they don’t pay, the Poad goes back into inventory.
This would help folks that really, really want one [like yours truly] but might not be able to watch the store because of other obligations. This would help Melody and the gang know how many wants one and hopefully, not have the store site crash when the time comes. Heck, I wouldn’t mind paying for mine up front just to know I have one!
Also, if Melody happened to paint more than what was needed–don’t you think that they would sell out anyway? If the one per customer limit was off on the surplus, I would certainly go for another one!

I wish I knew how many people would like to buy these…then I would have some clue about how many to make. Now there are 110 of them. Surely that is enough Poads(tm) for everyone.

Looking at these sweet babies–just wish puppies could stay puppies forever [um, except for all that peeing and pooing in the house!]
My vent for the week–I love my volunteer work at the hospital but I don’t have a log-in for the computer. I need a log-in so I can look up room numbers of patients whose family come to see them. Instead, I have to bother the nurses or call someone in the department in back to ask. It’s starting to bother them–instead of being a help, I’m being a bother! Nothing I can do until they get enough people together to do a class on the computer at the hospital–they don’t do classes until they get 10 people together. They currently have 7 and the frustrations are mounting! I felt so sorry for the gal whose shift was after mine because the guy in back was getting real tired of her calling back there. Out of our hands!
I love being in this department but feel that I’m just in the way–we were suppose to take a load off the triage nurses in front so they wouldn’t have to deal with people just coming in to visit. Instead, we’re being the pain by constantly having to ask them to look up room numbers! I hate being insufficient and I hate being a bother!
Thanks Wampus for posting for me! Really appreciate it! When I took the pictures I was surprised to see that he had magic paint–I didn’t think he had any at first. For some reason, I call this little one a ‘he’ even though he has a pink jewel. There is something sweet about him and I decided to name him Cyprus–where copper was mined.
Ours arrived today. He’s gorgeous. This will be my grandson’s. He was born Jan 26th, the day these sold.

Got mine last night but I got home around 9PM so didn’t take pics yet. But on Beth_M’s pic–if you went left diagonally two, he is the one just left of the uni with the turquoise/greenish head and white bottom with spots. He is darker than most–copper with brown eyes, black on head and tail with colored spots. I like him–he’s like me–not overly done but with a little color. It won’t be until sometime this weekend that I’ll get pics.
Let’s see if I can remember who wants what–yeah right! Unless I fall head over heels in love with the one I get, I’d be willing to trade.
I sent a guess–I’m not that great at guessing stuff like this–but it’s for fun! Sent my guess yesterday–hope she got it.
My order is processing. I’ve been having trouble with my host site account and right now with classes starting next week, I don’t have time to deal with it. A notice is sent to your personal email and if you used paypal to pay, the notification of payment arrives in your email as well. You should have an order number–that shows that you have one. Also, you could check your orders on your account and see it there. Hope this helps.
Amazing how fast they went! At first, I thought they all sold out already but it was the sheer volume of us being in the store that slowed everything down. They couldn’t even add the item to be sold so it looked like it was sold out. I was able to nab one finally–my first grab bag weeeeeee!
I managed to get one as well–can’t wait to see which one I got. At first I thought they were all sold out already–would make sense with all the people on here. I saw the thread of not refreshing the store so I chilled out. My life doesn’t depend on this–the site was sooooo sloooooow! Then I managed to get on and see that they weren’t out of stock after all and got one.
I guess in the future they could tell us not to get into the store for so many minutes because they’re trying to add them. Would make life easier for Windstone and us.
My first grab bag and I’m thrilled! :bigsmile:
