One way or another it’s probably “paint to sell”… but yeesh… I can’t decide!!!
They have one with one Light Blue one Straw eye… that’s the color I snagged…

it’s pretty much the same color right now… same as the sides of the gryphon below the wings…
It’s hard to photograph… but the wings leading down the shoulders to the forearms is a darker brown/black… whereas the belly and sides are still a reddish brown color. I might darken it… not sure yet… I just know I’m liking the way the head/neck chest area is looking. 😀
So you think I should leave the offwhite color on the tips of the toes? Do you think I should bring that color onto the lion half of the belly?
Oh cool!! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for those… the chicks are ADORABLE!!!
I came into windstones with the Male Gryphons had already been discontinued. 🙁 So far I just have the one PYO and the Gryphon Candle Lamp. 😀 Need to get the Hippogryph one too… ^.^

Oooh… those gryphons that you speak of… were they the new ones? Female and babies to be precise??? I’ll have to save my $$ for those… definately need Gryphons more than Dragons at this point. 😆
But man… I think I love the sculpture more than the color (don’t get me wrong… the color is gorgeous!) but given the financial situation… and the proximity to Xmas… I should be good… 😯 I’d rather by a PYO wolf to paint right now… methinks… 😀

Yeah… her wings aren’t done yet… so they’ll have banding and patterns soon. 😀

The cream of the wings still need detailing… and the lion half needs pastel shading… But I think the upper half is ALMOST done…
Of course… as with most of the pieces I paint… (horses etc…) they take on a mind of their own. At some point she decided that she didn’t want to be as dark as a Harris Hawk… I really started to like the contrast with the red and the darker brown… so it started to build… and well… not sure I can change it now… 😆
What do you think of the off white around her toes? leave it? blend it more? or get rid of it?
Anywho… better get off to bed now… gotta work tomorrow.. UGH!

The color of eyes is yellow, or straw I guess? I am only gussing that it will be the straw color because I am working on pics with yellow eyes in, though there is a line up of the four colors: blue, hazel, straw, and mismatched. Dunno! I am just working on them.
As for time, nobody knows! These things are not scheduled, after all, an dmay not even go up tomorrow. It is likely that they will, but do not hold us to it. ^^
