Got it! 🙂
In the meantime we’re kinda screwed for transportation since we both work. We have a few vehicles but that Firebird and Honda are the only ones which are currently running. I talked to my insurance company already to report the accident and they said we could get a rental car by paying for it out of pocket and then get reimbursed for it later, but that means we’d have to have the money for that now in the first place which we don’t! Ugh.
If it’s totally his fault, you can call and make his insurance cover the rental so you don’t have any out of pocket expenses. I’ve done this in the last two accidents we were in (somehow, I manage to get hit at stop signs and in parking lots a lot…) They’ll just call and confirm with him that he hit you, then they should call and arrange the rental.
Kickstarters run for usually 15-30 days, though sometimes there are limited awards available at each tier.
So, IF one ends up happening, everyone should have plenty of notice, but you’ll likely have to pledge early to get the reward( s ) you want.
I’d recommend looking at Kickstarter’s website for more information – it’s only sort of like a PBS drive. It has to be for a “project” of some time (with a specific start/end that produces something – a work of art, a food item, a game, etc).
I don’t think the kickstarter, if there is one, would be FOR making the grab bag dragons. It would be to fund some other ideas, but with grab bag dragons as potentially one of the reward tiers. I think Windstone has some ideas on a few new things they’d like to try out. I dunno though, John wasn’t sure if he was still going to try to do one or not.
In regards to old green – we’ve seen some of the new sculpts come out in old brown, but nothing in old green yet. I’m not sure if they have any of the old green paint left or a way to replicate it. 🙁
What is a kickstarter?
I second this question. I thought kickstarter was for funding ideas and business ventures, how would it be used for GB dragons?
Existing businesses can use kickstarter to fund new efforts – like the costs to start up a new line of sculpts or other new product lines.
Cons:
…
– Have to load from a kneeling positionNope, you don’t have to kneel.
You can purchase an optional base with a drawer. The base raises up the washer and dryer to a more comfortable loading position and the drawer provides tons of storage for detergent etc.Even the bases don’t put them to a comfortable height for me to stand – I still have to kind of hunch over. It’s not a big deal for me since all the laundry is on the floor too, but it could be an issue for some people!
Plus the optional drawers add a good bit to the price! 🙂
There are only three and the one in this thread is the best one. The others were on a cart with some plastic covering the sides. It turns out I’m not very good at taking photos of things by reaching under the plastic and taking a picture I can’t see. 🙂
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to post a FB picture to the forum. 🙁
Like posting any other photo to the Forum – you just copy the Facebook location for the photo source.
Yeah, but for posting other photos I just use the code photobucket auto generates because I was never able to get the correct method to work. LOL
Since I’m a second year web-dev student with straight A’s, I realize that is rather hilarious, but posting photos on the forum continues to defeat me. 🙂

It’s okay to sell here in the classified ads or ebay (ebay has the advantage that people have to pay and pay all at once.) If you don’t want to deal with taking bids on 500 items through PM, it may be easier for you to use ebay – yes they have fees, but it’s safer and simpler in a lot of ways too. 🙂
I’d suggest doing some research on recent ebay sales, in the store, and on Ravenheart to see how much things have sold for in the past (http://ravnheart.com/windstone/index.php).
You can also use Astral Castle’s Windstone data base to help identify pieces – http://astralcastle.com/windstone/wsframe.htm
However, don’t go off the retail values on the production pieces from when they were originally sold – a lot of them have gone up in value so Astral Castle isn’t really good for valuing the pieces.
Once you know what you have, you’ll have an easier time figuring out the best way to sell.
Many of the forum members may be able to help you price/identify pieces, but I’d recommend checking dragonmedley’s feedback list to make sure you know who you’re dealing with – http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedback%20lists.htm
If she has time, Jennifer might be a good resource to help you with identifying pieces and such as well. I know she and Pam were friends and she’s very trustworthy.
Good luck!
I have no idea if these will be in the store or on kickstarter or what. There weren’t very many of them yet. 🙂
It actually looks like the tang that goes into the head broke off. If you could drill that out, you might be able to put a new horn in, but I’m not sure where you could get one. 🙁 …
If it comes to that, one option would be to hunt down a cheap white young on ebay, craigslist or wherever you can find one and take out its horn to replace yours.
I thought of that, but I’ve been told the only way to get a horn out whole is basically to bust the head. 🙂 I felt bad suggesting it! lol
No idea how well it would work, but this site suggests Miracle Glue and gives instructions for how to repair a break in a pewter piece.

You might see if there is some kind of glue that can hold two metal bits together to glue the existing horn back on. I’m not sure what that would be though.
It’s so funny how different the experience can be from person to person with washers/driers. I think brand must be a huge factor!
My front-loader takes so much less time than my old top loader did it’s not even funny. Laundry day is Sunday and I generally have about the same amount to wash (7-9 loads). With my top loader, washing and drying everything if I started around 11 am would take me until 11:30 – 12 that night.
With my front loader, I’m usually done (with everything washed, dried, folded, and put away) by 7:30 pm.
I use the little detergent packets (gel things) with no scent and no dye as my youngest is allergic to EVERYTHING. I haven’t had any problems with smelly laundry as long as I don’t let it sit. And this is three boys, a husband and dogs. 🙂
No idea how powdered detergent would work though. I haven’t used powdered in a long time.
I CAN buy normal liquid for mine – I don’t have to use the special stuff for HE machines. You just add a little bit more.
Happy Birthday, Susie!!!! 🙂
