Do Dogs get Colds??? My Dog has been sneezing alot in the last couple of days and less active, like he’s not feeling well. With everyone who has furry babies around here I thought I’d ask
For even small 6-10 pound dogs you can get the children’s chewable benadryl 12.5 mg tablets. My dogs eat them like a treat.
It will help with allergies, give one tablet every 8 hours or so. It will help alot.
Hope this helps. Kaya
I love it that we can turn an unpleasant post into one filled with bug porn and chocolate!
I have some Twix if anyone wants one…and a nasty, fuzzy, obnoxious little Chewy cat sleeping on my leg…if anyone wants to hug her.
I have had one severely damaged unicorn, because it wasn’t packed right, after that is what I requested.
I took pictures, contacted the seller, sent the whole deal box, packing and unicorn back to her in a larger well packed box and she actually claimed the insurance.
But, I spoke to her and we worked out all the details.
I am not wading in on the topic incident. Not my business, but for anyone reading the post.
1. Never throw anything out, if you have damage.
2. Take pictures of your unpacking and detailed pictures of damage.
3. Contact the sender and discuss the situation with them, before you do anything.
4. Decide who will report the claim and how everyone is going to be paid.
5. I personally do not trust the US postal service and have had great success with UPS and I have never had them break anything. They furnish insurance up to $100 and a tracking number. In many cases they are actually cheaper than USPS on regular shipping.
In closing, I LOVE my UPS man!!!!! Even though the Fedex guy is sexier! Hehehe.
Good Luck everyone!
Well, congrats Mimi, I am glad a collector with a whole set got it also…I went to $800 and then I quit. I was willing to go $800, but soon found out Ski wanted it more than I did…I figured she would win it. Kaya
TheRedWriter wrote:I tutor some autistic kids at where I do my observations. They are the sweetest kids ever. I teach both high functioning and low functioning and people don’t realize how bright they actually are. I once saw one of my autistic kids getting picked on by regular students and I’m pretty sure I put the fear of God into that boy. I think my exact words were “If I see you doing this again to him or any other kid, your mother will cry when she sees what I’ve done to you” and gave him the good ole nazi death stare that I inharited from my dad ^^ and no, he is not a nazi, its just that me and my brother coined that look he gave us when we did something bad.
That is awesome. I am a Nurse Practitioner and I do ENT practice, but because kids with speech delay get sent to us for hearing tests, we diagnose a lot of kids as possible autistic.
So this is a cause close to my heart, I was so happy they asked me 🙂 I can donate 4 hours of time and my husband donated $250 for the cause.
I am really happy for the opportunity to help others!!! Especially kids, who are often abused and misunderstood.
I remember those days! Hang in there!
Just a little idea of what the future holds for you:
Sometimes I dream of failing a class and waiting too late in the semester to drop it…
Or I dream about missing math class and panic, because I know I won’t have a clue the next class.
I finished my Masters 10 years ago and I still dream of being late for class or not doing my homework…
I ask you…how sick is that? College still haunts me. But then again, I dream of my days in the ER also.
I swear, if I got paid for all the work I do while I am asleep, I would be a millionaire!!!
Good luck, we all go through it, and you will be okay!
Hugs, Kaya
I am so excited. I road and drag race both of my cars. The Corvette Z06 is mainly a drag car and I have been running the Viper on the road course. I do a lot of charity racing events and car shows, so I was really excited when the organizers asked me to be the pace car.
I will drive the Viper in front of the race cars (to slow them down) at the begining of the race and anytime there is a caution on the track. I will carry a passenger who will only get a ride because they are a high dollar donor.
It was really cool to be asked, especially because it is for charity. My husband is a sponsor of the event. The most amazing thing is, this event is completely volunteer, including the drivers. Every single penny will go towards the organization Unlocking Autism http://www.unlockingautism.org/
I challenge everyone on the forum, to take a few minutes out and donate some time and energy towards a charity. You don’t even have to give money, just some time and effort. Please support some cause! I know we are all busy, but even just a few hours help out!!!
Here is the website about the race….
Here is a video of what I will be doing…the pace car is the car with the flashing light on the top…my husband is the commentator for the video…hehehe
Here is my car on the track…
Good GOD! I sympathize with you. 15 years ago, when we got married, we had a 900 sqft house, with three bedrooms and one tiny bathroom.
We lived there six years. We remodeled the house, updated 1970’s appliances, put in tile, painted, added vinyl siding. But after 6 long years, I told my tightwad of a husband, “I get a bigger house, or I am going out to buy my own house without you”
Fortunately, he took me serious, at the time, I made more money and had better credit than he did. So we bought a nicer, newer, bigger house. I have 1980 sqft now and I will happily be here forever.
I never realized how much stuff I packed in the smaller house…it like, expanded when we moved 🙂
I am so glad for you that you are expanding. I understand completely how cramped you are! Good luck and congratulations.
On a side note, after 9 years my husband is still complaining about the house note!!! I just tell him to stuff it…Hehehe

I am sooosorry for your loss. There are no words to make it better, but know your baby is no longer in pain and he is in a better place! Hugs! I know my words don’t make it better, but most of us here have had the same experience and we have all had to say good bye to a beloved pet.
Know that we are thinking of you and that we feel your pain and heartache!!!!

Yes the rep in my building coudn’t even tell me face to face why they did not pay off the entire amount. He did not get a call back from the Gap person yesterday either. I hope to hear something today.
My husband sells cars, he was also an insurance auto adjuster. He said your gap insurance should pay the full amount. You will have to pay your insurance deductible. Did you pay your deductible? Is it possible that is the extra amount?
It goes like this, car wreck, totalled, insurance company writes you a check (based on the estimated value of the car) minus your deductible and the gap insurance covers the remaining amount minus the deductible.
Hope this helps, sucks that you are having trouble….do what I do, yell, scream, act indignant and ask to talk to a supervisor…then go home an write a professional letter and send it certified, return receipt…usually that works and they will take care of you to shut you up!
Thank You All for the Clicks!!!!!
Wow, what a horrible mess. I am glad you were there for your sister. I hope your brother is okay. You did a great thing, hugs!!!!

Which it won’t because God or whoever just hates me THAT MUCH. Seriously. This thing is my LIFE. If I lose it the nerves/anxiety will most likely kill me.
So… just letting you know.
I won’t be getting any sleep tonight, that’s for sure. I’ll probably be throwing up til noon tomorrow from the nerves. 😥
Every time I start to feel better/be less nervous something like this happens and makes it 100x worse that it ever was. Gah.
edit: I can’t afford this, so if I ever get back I might end up having to sell some of my Windstones. I just bought a rainbow hatching emperor today too… 😥
All of us have these days, weeks, months, years….
I call it a “do over” like last year one of my best friends who was 38 and had two young children, had a stroke. Her husband had to make the choice to take her off life support. Her family was angry. His children were devastated. But he did what she asked him to.
So all of her friends decided we needed a “do over” of the last year. We obviously did not get that. But, it was a way to cope. Everyone has bad times, you just have to hang in there, and know that eventually, things will get better.
You can be at the lowest you have ever been in your life and eventually, things will start to get better. You have to look for the change and you have to work for the change and you must be positive…but things will get better! I Promise….you just have to look for the opportunity!
Cheer up, adversity makes us better people, even though dealing with it sucks! What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger!!!!
Hope things get better for you soon! Hugs!
