^^^^ Yep, same here, with my own experience checking FireMountain. And the link is shared, so no worries 😀 I remember seeing that thread asking to buy small amounts off of people who had them in bulk, and until I found this other site, I had considered following suit! Of course, now I’m still in the same boat as you, Lokie — I wanna buy one of EVERYTHING! XD

Whew! I just barely got one I think. There were two when I went to get mine and then when I finished my order there were none. I’m feelin’ lucky! It will be my first PYO I’m excited! 😀

A-HA!! IT WAS YOU!!!!!! :shout: I missed out on the first batch because of a finance hiccup, and my hubby was literally filling out the check-out info to get me one from the second round (with 2 left in stock)…. and when he did the final click to seal the deal, they were all gone! So I missed out *again* 😥
Well, I’m glad it went to someone else who’d been longing for their very first. When they’re back in stock again, I will at last be getting *my* first Keeper (and hubby got me a consolation griffin to practice on in the meantime) 😀 Enjoy!

Thanks, Bayoudragon! Yeah, sometime waaaay down the road I might get into the uni’s and need smaller sizes. But for now, I’m only doing the dragons and griffins, so 3mm+ is fine. And I’m working in such small quantities (got one PYO Dragon, one PYO griffin on the way, and jumping on the very next Keeper in stock!) that gee, if I could just order three stones, in about a half dozen colors each, I’d be set. So jewelrysupply.com is the best fit for that approach that I’ve found so far 😀 Plus, sadly, one or two of the colors I *really* wanted were only available starting in 144-stone lots at Fire Mountain Gems. Anyway, the more resources, the merrier! 😉

Thank you, Lokie!!! Sounds like you were in the same situation I was. And since I’m not drawn to doing the PYO unicorns anytime soon, I’m ok with 3mm being the smallest size offered. I’m glad to know somebody has tried them out with good results. *definitely* planning to use them when the time comes to play with the jewels! (oh, that didn’t sound quite right 😳 tee hee)

              Anybody try this site?
              http://www.jewelrysupply.com

I bought from firemountain gems about ten years ago because I needed a bulk set of Swarovskis in one color, and they were great. But I only have a couple PYOs right now, and while I want to have 4 or 5 different colors on hand to try out with the paint scheme once I’ve gotten it close to finished, I ultimately only need 2 of the same color. So, it doesn’t make sense to order 100+ of each color, paying a few bucks per lot, when I’d only end up using two from one lot!!! So, I stumbled upon the jewelrysupply.com website. They have packages of 10, 3mm chatons (pointed back) Swarovskis, in lots of different colors, for less than $1 per package. Sounds like a perfect fit for me…. $5 to get about 5 different colors (before shipping), and I’m sure I’ll find uses for the extras. Bonus – they’re cheaper than craft stores like Michael’s or Joann’s, neither of which carry the pointy-back jewels anyway. So, win/win, if they’re a good company.
Anybody have any experience with them?

Ok, I know they’re retired, but I also know a bunch of us are looking for them, and I’ve been told I will not be the only squeak posting for this, so here goes…

One more batch of Rainbow Fledglings!!! squeek* squeek* squeek*

A dozen or so would do it, I think.

I have a family of four. Not dragons, real people 😉 Myself, my hubbie, and two lovely daughters – 5 and almost-3.
I have a family of *three* Rainbow Dragons: Rising Spectral, Lap, and Young. I am desperately seeking a Rainbow Fledgie so my youngest daughter is “represented” in our Rainbow Dragon family. Willing to pay a reasonable yet generous price, or possibly trade (I have some Dept. 56 collectibles).

So if anyone has one they’re selling (mint condition is of course preferred, though I don’t mind a little dust), or knows of one someone else is selling, please let me know! My youngest daughter’s birthday is in a week… (Oct. 6) Not that I’m expecting any miracles, but I wouldn’t turn one down either! (Miracle OR Fledgie!!) 😀

                  Thanks!

So I have to preface this by saying I live in Arizona, where rattlesnake markings are no joke. Having said that…

First he made my eyes get reeeaaalll big.

                      Then he made me LOL.

Then he kinda creeped me out…

I can’t quite decide what I think of him at the end – like or dislike – but I have a huge, healthy respect for a sculpt that can bring out so much in people!!!!!
                      Congrats on your win!

I had a friend up in Portland, OR who loved to put brewers malt and vinegar on her french fries, instead of ketchup.

And I knew somebody back in college in Minnesota who also did the dip-your-fries-in-chocolate-milkshake thing.

It’s pretty odd, isn’t it… I am one of those keep-’em-separate folks, but I do eat pot pie. Just gotta make sure the pot pie doesn’t mix with any of the sides! 😈

Dude reposted the rainbow – this time he’s got pictures of the actual sculpt, he’s asking $24.99 starting bid, and he dropped shipping to $33.00. Shipping still seems like he’s trying to pad the winning price, but at least it’s a *little* better. Weird. Also, he’s saying the item is in excellent/perfect condition, but zoom in on pic#3 and it looks like there are a couple chips on the top of the left wing. Could be the flash from the camera though. 😕

I figure it’s the old bait-n-switch. You think you’re getting a good deal because it’s only $19.99, and you place your bid before checking on the shipping. The seller gets his $70 minimum, and you get jacked. Of course it totally backfires, because I bet he’d be up to $100 in bids by now if he’d just listed it for $10 shipping and $60 starting bid. Oh well… 😕

(I first saw this scam running last Christmas – fake prelit trees for as low as $10!!!!… but with shipping of $150….)

Just to add a note: The starting price is $19.99, but also misleading, because they’re charging $49.95 for shipping. 🙁
