http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Which_egg_is_which%3FThe “trio” we’re talking about is three different eggs/dragons: the Ice dragon (“This egg has icicles forming on it.”), the Magma dragon (“This egg is almost too hot to touch.”), and the Lightning dragon (“Whenever you go near this egg your hair stands on end.”)
When you have at least one of each of these 3 dragons on your scroll, AND you are “unlocked” (have fewer than 4 eggs and fewer than 4 hatchlings), you click on any one of the Trio dragons’ Actions and you will see a Breed Specific Action for “Summon”. If you use Summon and are successful (apparently the guess is that it is successful about 11% of the time), you get a Guardian of Nature egg.
You can only ever summon successfully twice (even if you lose one or both of your summoned Guardians to sickness, death, etc). The Guardians cannot breed even though they are gendered, and they cannot be abandoned as eggs/hatchlings. So they’re pretty rare, they can’t be traded for, and because of the low success rate it can take a while to get one.Hope this helps :hi:
I watched Blood+ too, and agree with pretty much the whole review. There’s this guy who is supposed to have a French accent, and the English overdub is *horrid* – it sounds like someone trying to make fun of French accents by doing it really bad. I also felt the ending was a little too soft and cheesy.
Has anybody seen the Live Action movie of Blood+? It’s based off the original Blood+ anime movie (instead of series, which has the same starting premise as the movie but goes in a totally different direction from there). It’s excellent!
I know it’s been said a bunch already, but I am so sorry this happened!!! 😥 It is truly a Windstone lover’s worst nightmare.
I know there are a lot of people on here who are great at repairs and touch-ups; if it had to happen, at least you are part of a community that cares and can help you fix it as much as possible. Best of luck to you, I hope the damage is surprisingly minimal…Sadly, I don’t have enough time to do the official reviewing thing. But I DO have enough time to toss my two cents on what’s been covered!
Of all that I’ve seen and has been reviewed so far, I’d have to say my top two faves are Trigun and Escaflowne, tied. Vash the Stampede from Trigun is my all-time favorite anime character (Ok, imagine a live-action Trigun with David Tennant as Vash? squeek* ). I liked them both more than, for example, Cowboy Bebop (which felt like a loooong collection of short stories to me, which all happen to have the same characters and contain a very few long-running plot lines) or Fullmetal Alchemist (which I enjoyed, but felt written for a younger crowd).
Once a long time ago I saw the entire Evangelion series, except it had been taped off TV and fan-dubbed. So, I think I need to watch it again! 😀
I enjoyed Fruits Basket too, but would only give it 3.5 stars, because it doesn’t have the depth that wins 4 – 5 stars out of me.
I saw FLCL, and I’m with the “WTF” crowd on that one. Don’t love it, don’t hate it. Just… it makes my head hurt.
Anybody familiar with Magic Knight Rayearth, Oh My Goddess, Shamanic Princess, Ceres: Celestial Legend, Fushigi Yuugi?
Just some that stick in my mind as ones that rate 4-ish stars for me.And, I have a question. When I was a kid (back in the early to mid-80s), I saw this anime and I’ve been looking for it ever since. I don’t remember the name, and I’ve never seen it since the one time my parents rented it for me. All I know is, the main character’s name is Wendy, she plays flute, she’s NOT from Earth, and she is searching for a rose that is rainbow-colored. The movie my parents rented had three episodes on it (I think). Anyone know what it is? Anyone?
Thanks, ghostndragon – I’m glad it was see-able! (I really did like it a lot, but someone else who used the same approach – making a dragon out of the ornaments – actually was one of the winners. I saw her dragon in voting, and knew I was beat 😳 I’m glad she got a prize.) And for what it’s worth, I don’t think anybody has seen the tree decorating prize dragons yet, not even the winners… they haven’t been given out yet as far as I know. I’m thinking we’ll all know when they’re dropped though – there’ll be lots of talk and links in IRC and on the DC Forum
I just can’t wait for Valentine’s Day… after this holiday I will be all caught up with holiday releases (well, except for a Holly…).
I breed my Trios pretty regularly… I have one each of Ice (2nd gen) and Magma (4th gen staircase), and two Thunder (one 2nd gen, one CB), if anyone cares about lineage.
If I have any luck getting Trio eggs out of’em, I’ll post my success here, and you can PM me if it’s one you need. What do you mean you don’t have the same luck as I do! that is the same luck silly!!! I have a promise for a 3rd and 1st prize egg, but not a second prize one. lol, That is AWESOME!!
Two Windstoner’s spreading the love! 😛You are right 😀 I had misread one of your posts to mean that you had been randomly offered a prize dragon egg without requesting it by PM, whereas I basically hunted prizewinners down on the forum and PM’d them (politely and offering trade, of course). I re-read and now see that we both did the same thing 8) Now we will both be able to give away 3rd gen prize dragon eggs!
In other DC news, what happened to me last night TOTALLY made up for not “placing” in the tree contest. Someone who shared my birthday gifted me an Ice egg, which was the last egg of the Legendary Trio (Ice, Magma, Thunder) I needed in order to start trying their “Summon” action to get a Guardian of Nature egg.
The Ice grew up last night, so I was completely excited to try Summon for the first time. And it WORKED!!!!! I got a Guardian of Nature egg on my first try! 😮 I can hardly believe it. pegasi1978 – I like your tree too, the spacing of the ornaments is really nice and classy. I saw a lot of trees that crammed every single ornament on, hodge-podge, and they looked crowded and messy. I found myself liking the nicely balanced ones more and more :yes: and I’m glad you were able to get yourself a leetle tree!
eaglefeathers – Yeah, that was my concern – that the ornaments (or patches of them anyways) would look random/confusing. I did see a couple other dragon-shape-theme trees, and one of them (the one I liked best) won first place! So I am glad (and a little jealous 😳 ) for that.
The cluster of ornaments at the top is the head:
The big gray ornament with the red streak is the main part of the head. the little white booties are the nose/top jaw, the red tail from the TJ raptor is the bottom jaw, and the two roundish ornaments (one transparent white, the other sort of tarnished gold with a silver dent in the back) are the eyeballs. With a silvery strand of bells as the tongue, licking up at the snowball on the tree top 😉Thanks for the good luck wishes, too… but I expect to get a Sweetling from one of the spriter’s alts the way I expect Melody to fly down here and hand me a Rainbow Secret Keeper, hand-painted by her and signed out to me personally, as a belated birthday present. Know what i mean? XD

And for the Sweetlings, I’m asking about lineage because I’m shooting for 2nd gen sweetlings where one has a pink parent, and the other has a black parent 😀 It’s all lineage and stuff. (Tho to be sure, it would be absolutely amazing if a person could get 2nd gen Sweetlings from the Chocolate and Rainbow spriter’s alts, wouldn’t it?!?) So eaglefeathers I will gratefully enjoy your Sweetling offspring, and then I’ll try to hunt down someone who’s breeding their black Sweetling with a CB white and try to nab that one too.

If I were you, I’d take both of them if you can (the egg from 1st prize, AND the egg from 3rd prize – I believe each “place” – 1st, 2nd, 3rd – got a different dragon, tho I’m not sure whether they’re different alts of the same dragon, or completely different dragons). Then if you can get a 2nd prize dragon offspring too, you’d be one of the first to have an entire collection! 😀
And thanks for remembering the sweetling promise! I forgot to ask – are yours the pink ones, or the black alt ones? Just curious for lineage/collecting purposes 😆

Oh yeah, and for the holly thing… I’m pretty sure the Magi BSA of teleport will be in effect by then, and as far as I know, once that comes into play, the four-character egg codes will no longer be usable once an egg is dropped from a scroll. So even if you give us the codes, the codes are “shed” as soon as the egg is abandoned. There will be no more catching off AP by code, in a nutshell. HOWEVER, I *also* remember reading that Magi will be able to teleport up to 4 eggs at one time. Which makes me wonder… could you teleport all four to one person, and have them teleport three to the next, and so on? Or, if that’s not possible because of holiday scroll limit (2 per scroll) – could you at least teleport 2 to someone who has none, and have them teleport one to someone else? And if we’re all in the same chat room, at least the other hopeful catchers will get forewarning that the hollies are coming, which is a tiny increase in chance to catch them…
Me neither, even though I spent hours arranging mine 😥 . I knew it **might** stand a chance to win, if voters could see the dragon I patterned out; but would lose terribly if voters either couldn’t figure it out, or didn’t take the time. I saw a few other trees where people used ornaments to shape out a dragon, while I was voting, but I liked mine best 😳 Oh well, it was kind of subtle and I guess not many people could “see” it 😕
I just hope at some point in the not too distant future, I can snag a prize dragon’s offspring. If I do, I will breed it and give Windstone folks here first dibs! 😀
Oh wow, it’s like they thought taking castings of the Windstone dragons and then just sticking on some extra scales would negate the copyright infringement 👿 Glad someone reported this!!
January is my birthday month too, and I can’t think of a more special gift than to win the raffle by chance and actually be able to pick the prize! (Of course, just winning the raffle this month at all would be awesome!!!!!) 😀
